Odey needs to play in a better league. Hopefully, he gets a move to one by next season. The attacking positions are competitive.
to be honest with you...I don't understand oga Bosco.
you don't use sentiments in recruiting players for the national team.
players like chukwueze and Henry played their ways to big clubs and eventually start play professional football at club level with no national team coach assistance...
these guys have their talents speaking for them.
why can't Odey do same?
or does his stars lies in how many national team call ups he gets.....?

Person wey open mouth talk say freekick nor important jus Cos he nor wan rate nacho, you go know say he nor get conscience. People with “pull him Down syndrome” ain’t even doing well in real life but they derive joy in other people misfortune. See how that dude was busy smiling and rejoicing like a fat kid with chocolate when someone mentioned how bad nacho’s game has regressed. The dude couldnt hid his hatred. This set of people will even prefer us to lose against South Africa if nacho start just to say “ I told you”.
one of the most honest folks in these thread...are those who were as then always Bashing Ighalo....
these later was revealed the reason for them bashing the striker is because of his incompetence in front of goal....

I want to disagree with you. The Iheanacho we are seeing now is the real Iheanacho. Iheanacho in City was
being spoon-fed. Playing with top class players sometimes places one on a false pedestal.
Apart from those two goals in the clash with Tanzania and Zambia, I for one can't see any other spectacular contribution that he made in those matches. Winning CNN goal of the week shouldn't be used as a criteria. Sikiru Olatunbosun's goal for MFM in NPFL also got that award. What about that?
So in essence, I don't think he has lost any special ability compared to his days at Man City

In other words, Man City helped him cover up his averageness but once he left, breeze blow, fowl nyash show grin

Please compare the iheanacho at Man city who was confident, assured and played with a swagger than the jaded version we are seeing now. And yes training week in week out with world class players improves your game. Lukaku learnt a lot from Drogba at Chelsea. Watched a training video where Drogba trapped a ball with his instep and in the same fluid motion hammered the ball in the back of the net. Lukaku in 10 attempts could not do it. But he does it today. Iheanacho has dropped.

Of course, training with top players improve one's game, I agree. If you like train with Messi ND Ronaldo, you can only improve but there is a limit to where you can go if other factors necessary for development are neglected. You have to realize that over 90% of the time, players don't play in one team for ever. Players have to move at one point or the other.
Iheanacho, no longer confident and assured? Very ambiguous statement!.
Well maybe the "false pedestal" I mentioned earlier.

Fake confidence and assurance but with no actual growth

I NEVER bashed Ighalo, even for once. Ever since the Cameroon game, I never doubted him.

I think Odion Ighalo is one of the most underrated players of all time.

Ighalo's quality has always been clear. His misses were only a fluke, a flash in the pan. Like I have always said the guy was unlucky not to get into a big team in Europe. Put Ighalo in a team with a functional midfield, and watch him bang in goals till you beg him to stop. No joke.

Iheanacho has been disappointing in recent times in the National Colours. Rohr will not play Nacho has 10. Never! He seems to have lost confidence in the young man.

No wonder he was awarded the world worst striker of the year. Hmm.

Up until the recent games, Ighalo has been markedly poor for Nigeria. Infact Iheanacho was better for the national team than Ighalo.

Ighalo has had only one good season in the top flight yet you are talking about him playing in the big teams in Europe. He was not unlucky, he just did not show the quality needed consistently.

Issac Success should be the number one option to start with Ighalo out. He would tire out their defence and Nacho can come in and wrap things up.
My worry is that midfield... I'm still not comfortable with it

Ighalo is a CF. If the midfield doesn't supply the passes in the right places, the CF can't do nothing.

Now tell me how many good chances Ighalo was getting per match?

Oga! Oga! Oshimen is in which club again? Odey is starting for his team now in the Europa League against Bayern Leverkusen, do you think that is beans? Chukwueze just played his first match for Villarreal B, since he has been playing for the team B. Odey deserves it, his claim is reinforced by the fact that he has actually been performing for years now, he cannot force buyers to come, but he has scored everywhere he has played. I am not saying he must be invited but saying that he is playing at a low club when we invited Oshimen and Chukwueze is hypocritical

I don’t know why y’all taking that curtisaxel7 guy serious, he is a joke lol. Just because of his hatred for nacho, he is trying so hard to play down the important of set piece. All his post/comments are based on emotive prejudice. I just can’t fathom why someone would resort to badbelleism for a young player who is working hard everyday to turn out good and bring smile to the faces of all Nigerians. Curtis man you gotta have to check yourself Cos you’ve totally lost your mind. So you mean set piece ain’t crucial no more? Let me juggle your memory to a nation cup match between Nigeria and Cameroon...we were one goal down and the pressure was really on us . Like a flash we got a free kick closed to Cameroon 18yard box.. jay jay okocha picked up the damn ball, arranged his shoe wella, then curled a banana-like freekick above the wall which sailed right into the goddamn net. Maybe dem never born you then. All this year 2000 kids dem nor go stop to dey run their mouth like tap.

The Swiss league is not a strong league. The vast majority of the Swiss team are not based in Switzerland. There are more german and English based players than Switzerland based players. The players based in Switzerland are young players coming through and have very few caps.

I don't want to go back to Ighalo's past since he has started scoring. Let me enjoy his good form.

Sure sir. I agree with you. This players are celebrities. They will be talked about by the high and low, outstanding people and failures, and zealous and slothful folks alike.

What I am trying to say is that many of our criticisms aren't fair. This players train alot. They work really hard. The amount of effort they put into their profession outweigh and overwhelm our (the critic) input into our occupation. But like you said it's normal for them to be criticized
