I don't think luka modric deserves this award. There were many players who played better like; mbappe, ronaldo, messi, salah, varane and even casimeiro(was more useful to madrid).
Luka modric was really overrated this year . Modric only performed best at the world cup, any other competition (la liga, champions league) he was just average.

It's a world Cup yet FIFA ignored France and gave Modric and you expect Ballon d'Or to go to a French man because you won the World Cup. You won because you had the best team not because any of you was outstanding. Griezman is the main brain behind the talk because he wants to win it after scoring only penalties in the world Cup
