Uglymugg:Dwveloped nations have it. One I know of is called KPI, Key Performance Indicators. But that is only possible because their government has provided electricity, good roads, public transit, accomodation, and cheap affordable food for the masses, land telephone lines, pipe bourn water and gas to all houses. So there's no excuse for somebody not to perform at work. None of these amenities are in Nigeria. The lack of these are our main concerns and the reasons we give excuses for non productivity at work. 2 Likes |

Let's do the maths: N2.3 trillion divided by 1.5 million workers N2.3 trillion/1.5 workers= N1,533,333 per worker per annum Earning/Worker on a monthly basis: N1,533,333 divided 12 N1,533,333/12 = N127,777 But minimum wage is much less than this. This number is even higher than monthly salary proposed by Sowore. We have bandits in govt, how does their minimum turn to N127k? Educate me please. 2 Likes 1 Share |

ajl: What that 127k means is simply an average. There are workers earning more as well as less than 127k but if you put everything every worker earns the total becomes about 2trn. 3 Likes |

Re: Minimum Wage: 1.5 Million FG Workers To Earn Over N2.3tn by Nobody: 10:15am On Nov 11, 2018 |
Colourich: I have been preaching that ever since, this hike in minimum wage is not a good thing at all. Increasing workers wages without an equivalent increase in production, value, etc is only going to raise inflation. Now, things will be more expensive for everyone, worker and non-workers. Only top civil servants will benefit as always. |
Re: Minimum Wage: 1.5 Million FG Workers To Earn Over N2.3tn by 0monnak0da: 10:16am On Nov 11, 2018 |
Colourich:You are also ignorant. How many workers out of the total are on minimum. What proportion of the total wage burden accrues to those on minimum wage. The most senior workers in government get allowances for cooks stewards driver wardrobe and so on. Same thing for senator and others. So that is a gòod place to start rationalization. To blame minimum wage for the burden of the FG IS the height of ignorance. What needs to happen is that workers who are unproductive should be weeded out and ALL those who remain paid well . Also those on the highest pay Must make sacrifices 1 Like |
