what baffles me most about papa despite all his achievements is his simplicity about life and passion he has for the gospel. @ papa David Olaniyi Oyedepo more of God's grace to you.

Let me put it another way. What is our total generation capacity? No amount of transmission cost still justifies that.

I don't think it is a must we have to transmit gas to Kaduna kano and abuja like NNPC is currently doing for some new power plants. We can build the plants close to the source of gas and transmit the power to the north or even Niger republic like we do for Benin republic and Togo.
Transmission line are more reliably policed by SCADA around the world and I wonder what is so special about transmission here.

I don't disagree about such ideas. But they cost a fuckton of money.

We can't use an isolated case here to judge the outcome of such process. A lot is special about transmission in Nigeria. A singular 245kv tower would cost average 6million naira . Now imagine you needing 1000 of those to wheel power around from Warri to Abuja at 2 per km. This does not even include cost of the cables let alone workmanship. Clearing of forests. Areas needing reinforced bases , right of way, compensation for demolished buildings on the right of way.

All these costs money. Better to decentralize it for more efficiency. We should be exploring more natural gas and even cleaner coal.

Please be clear with your childish jibes. With the way that sentence is, it is clear enough, so point out your problem or mute.
It isn't clear, what is clear is who is a kid between us. PDP squandered 25billion USD under OBJ IPP project. What is 25billion usd @160/$? Why will you distort history by saying PDP have spent a fraction of 1.2Trillion?
Re: Canaanland Ota In Pictures by dmakoy: 8:29pm On Nov 11, 2018
Actually, contrary to earlier report that CU MGT placed a secret CCTV in the Prof's office, I later understand that it was actually the Prof's PG students that nabbed him by recording him with their mobile device via his glass office unknown to him, and then sent the video straight to the Bishop's office in the Church Secretariat (boycotting CU MGT, to avoid them possibly covering up the case).
I heard the Prof was later summoned to a panel, the video played to him & he just stood there speechless. He had to tender his resignation immediately.

May God continue to deliver Bishop Oyedepo from agents of corruption of divine vision and mission. Amen!

If after 1 hour u couldn't comprehend a simple sentence it is either you are dull or too proud to admit your fault.

While I agree canaanland didn't have to deal with transmission systems and equipments the figure still don't add up. That $16Bn is for under OBJ YarAdua alone oh. Buhari and GEJ still spent billions of USD. and all we have to show is less than 10,000MW of generating capacity. That's unjustifiable sir.

so Cananland now has 15000Mw... While Nigeria since 1960 still grasping with 4500 MW..
GOD PUNISH satan...
No oh....
15MW is a fraction of our national average. What is remarkable about it is the fact that the plant was build at average cost of N120m per MW and Nigeria is still battling with less than 10,000MW after spending enough money that could have built us well over 100,000MW.

Our manufacturing industry will grow when govt can use $5m ( N2 Billion ) to build a 15 MW power plant like Oyedepo is doing here.

Nigeria spent $16 Bn on power. That could have given us over 75,000 MW of power but see where we are today. Battling with 5,000 MW at exurbitant rate of N30-50/Kwh. That alone has killed manufacturing because your rivals in Asia get power supply for a fraction of that, sometimes as low as N6/KWh.

I rather doubt the N6 per kwh

There's still a kind of restricted access to the estate, bcoz construction work is ongoing.

But you can follow 'Church Gist' page on Facebook, for updates of giant strides and developments in oyedepo's winners ministry.

I think I made a mistake. The N6/kWh was for generation and not price of sale to final consumer.
