Is Baro Port more important to the economy than Onitsha Port or Warri Port? Our leaders are bad. Just because it is in Niger State and not the East.

IGo and seek knowledge first before wailing. Onitsha port has been completed either and already concessioned. Before it started operating some guys take the matter to the court on how the concession is done.

They dont want it to come into functin so that they can continue to wail. I dont think the issue has been resolved.

Below is the picture of the completed Onitsha port.

Did you say Completed? Is it the Onitsha I know or the one you copied picture of?

I am surprised nobody has raised the issue of Onitsha port?

It has been actually. The reps said the going to probe matter but they you know how that. The current excuse that 2 different recommendations for who should get concession. All sorts of bureaucratic nonsense.

And you think it isn't a deliberate act to make the port unfunctional?

In government, every attempt is calculated. NIWA did a shoddy work by not making the process transparent, hence the court cases miring the announcement of the bid winner.

Who was NIWA boss when that Issue arose? Boss Mustapha (current SSG to Buhari and a hausa/Fulani) or Senator or Senator Olorunnimbe Mamora,?

When will a sea or river port be constructed that will handle cargoes/goods meant for South Eastern region?
Obviously, not in the agenda of this ethno-religious bigot and cow loving president called Mohammed Bihari or Mohammodu Buhari.

Highest is just to send operation python dance around the area and everything is solved. Then ban transportation of cargoes via the road using customs. Matter is settled.

1. Baro Port is the first Northern Nigeria River Port.

2. The contract was initially awarded by Yaradua in 2009.

3. After his death Goodluck Jonathan cancelled it and divert the sum of 19Bilion to Niger Delta Ministry for land reclamation.

4. This new administration re-awarded the contract 3 years ago in the sum of less than 3 billion and it was completed August 2018.

5. It will officially be inaugurated by the end of this year after the road linking the port have been repaired.

6. Cargoes meant for Northern Nigeria will henforth be cleared at Baro Niger state instead of Lagos.

After the north successfully destroyed all the Seaports in Biafraland during the Biafra and Nigeria Africa war l. Jubrin is very good at obeying his northern Fulani employers.

Fraudulent Nigeria elections season, deaspirate period.

May devil punish the zoo politicians from Fulani and those of corrupt slaves in Biafraland.

Below is the picture of the completed Onitsha port.

Onitsha port has been completed about three times in last 7yrs.

First it couldnt be used because it wasnt large enough for big barges that will navigate upriver with containers. So they awarded contract for expansion and renovation and then commissioned it.

Second because after expansion and new equipments were installed to accomodate big barges, sedimentation on the river bed was now a problem and barges could become stranded. So they needed new contract awards to redredge and increase the tide depth. They brought heavy amphibious earth movers and pumped sand out of the bed. They had another commissioning.

Third because concessionaires do not know how to operate port facilities they abandoned operations early on and the port sat there for years with zero operations. Now they are taking bids for new concessions only to discover that the equipments originally installed to facilitate operations had never been put to use and are now rusted beyond repair. Some are marked as hazard and condemned. The port will need new equipments. This will be commissioned also.

Truly I can now see why Nigeria is at the current state. The country is marked with myriad of fake, baseless news geared towards dividing the country.

Anyway, our leaders are the brain behind all these hate stories & we d followers gullibly follows the script. The consequences I doubt we can bear as a Nation.

Sorry friend, you don't know how marine works.

The easiest way to achieve that is to ensure no insurance company give what is called additional War Risk policy to that zone. Which is very simple (if u know, u know) Not bribe at all.

That way no foreign going ship will call that port.

They must still call LAGOS and discharge, then the importer pays another local vessel to move his stiff to barawo port. This makes the landing cost of the goods very expensive and unaffordable.

Traders and retailers will have to come to Lagos to buy same product and transport back at cheaper rate.

Before u mention customs and road block. You cannot prevent movement of non contraband products grin
