Thanks for this detailed info.

I decided to not get a Xiaomi, after I discovered that you can't put a memory card along with two sims at the same time.
Then get Redmi 6 pro

. There are some anti virus softwares for Android.. Kaspersky even has license for Android in the Kaspersky multi device software purchase.
i repeat, android devices dont have virus. spyware, malware, and the likes are not d same as virus.

Just unboxed the Pocophone.

At last.....

First Impressions.

It looks and feels cheaper than the Redmi Note 6 Pro.

The display is not very bright and the color calibration is not as brilliant as the Note 6 Pro.

There's also screen bleeding on mine. I don't know if you can see that Light coming from the bottom.

Shipped with MIUI 9 but I'm updating it now.

Fingerprint sensor is faster than the Note 6 Pro

No face ID for Nigerian region.

Notification LED has an unusual placement below the display.

I'm yet to experience the power of Snapdragon 845 and Adreno 630, tho everything is snappy as you would expect from a brand new phone.

Update: It is faster than the Note 6 Pro, skips through all the app opening animations like a champ
any video ? sorry for the screen bleed tongue

And adware.....all these can be solved with with a good vpn.
I dont think android have viruses too....waste of time and space if you have AntiVirus on your phone.

My point is not whether there are virus for Android or not. What I'm saying is that various high end protection software manufacturers have products for android which they clearly called anti virus. see screenshot.

In my initial post I said it that I don't use these products because I don't consider them useful.

Screenbleed looks like something all or most of the units in this batch would have.
It is uniform accross the bottom only, not like the ones you see and know that something may need fixing.
You'd have to slap a dark wall paper if it bothers you.

No video yet.

I was curious about this so I dug up this article. I think it will give you more info about viruses, etc and what they can do

https://blog.avast.com/remove-android-virus

Google recently introduced Google Play Protect, xiaomi and many OEMs have a Security app that ships with their phones, Avast, Kaspersky, etc continue to be in business. I find it very difficult to believe they are all in existence for nothing or that they are "useless".

Recently, I opened a friend's phone (a Samsung) to make a call, the next thing I saw was a full screen ad for a porn site.

I think you need software to prevent such things.

d above are just spyware or adware nd they don't pose any threath except that they can steal ur personal information. virus on d other hand is harzadous nd can render d software useless.

Not really, I used to have an avast on mobile then for my mums tecno. It's a paid service tho, it helped clear adware and malware. Those funny popups(ads). I think with newer OS and monthly security patches it has reduced that so I doubt those stuffs still happen.
