aderemi166: The question you need to answer is if the TA was paid for pleasure or business trip. If you have 4m closing balance in your savings account, why bother to sources for financial support from your husband and company travel allowance for the trip. The ECO will obviously concludes that these funds are unavailable to you. You really need to think through your sources for funding the trip so that the ECO is not confused like me and refuse your application. |

adeniyy01: You dont need to state why you havent used a South African Visa. You are applying to the Uk embassy, not the SA embassy. If you've been refused by the USA before, please don't lie. State in there that you've been refused before. And give the reasons why you have been refused. A past refusal by US does not mean you won't get your UK visa, as long as you satisfy the UK conditions for the visa you are applying for. |

Heritagee: 1. The 6 month payslip rule is not sacrosanct. You can submit just the payslip you have. 2. You should rather be worried about your shared accommodation as it will not be acceptable by the ECO. The application to invite your mum will only fly when you have moved into a new accommodation as stated and you have all the necessary bills (Utilities, Council etc) in your name. |
Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 3 by justwise(m): 7:34pm On Nov 11, 2018 |
Heritagee: As it's there is nothing much you can, present 4months bank statement if that's what you have and explain in the form that your rent is bills inclusive which is common in the UK, but you must include yourself tenancy agreement. Though shared accommodation will not be suitable for your mum invitation |

ekpotek: The fear is the use of this formula: 2*monthly salary(N480k)= disposable income(720 GBP);irrespective of what you have in the savings account. As you have mentioned earlier I will need more than the N480k. Meanwhile, Total breakdone expenses to be spent is 2065 GBP on myself and 2kids. Or is there another formula they use for an Employer In my case please? This is urgent, I need to make decision tonight please. |

Quarterly allowance is N100k. I'd like to understand what you mean by financial ties. I don't want to use my family details cos this is a trip with my friend and my family stays far away from hers. We all know how family can be sometimes, they'd feel slighted you visited without checking in on them plus I don't want to be a courier for food stuff just kidding. So can you access my financial ties now ? ekpotek: |

aderemi166: That formula is just advisory. It’s mostly applicable to those in salary employment and not for company owners like you. Like I said you have a saving of 4m personally. You do not need any additional fundings as that amount is more than sufficient to the three of you. All that you need is to provide documentation to support these savings, by submitting your company bank statement to show that the fund came from your company and perhaps from your husband. The most important thing is to show that funds in your saving were legitimately earned and not fund lodgment. 1 Like |

Hello @Justwise and @ekpotek, thank you for responding to my earlier question. I wanted to also confirm if as a first timer, can I present 5months statement as against the 6months. Do you think that will fly. Has there been any testimony of a first timer presenting 5 months and been granted. ? |

mex551:6 months bank statement is okay. Why do you want to print just 5 months as opposed to 6 though ? |

justwise: Hi Justwise, and the house, thanks for the support so far. Few questions again 1. Utility Bill sent by the friend inviting is dated July 2018, hope it's ok to use now. Stayed there last time of visit 2. Invitation letter to be sent as main body from his email, hope it's fine. No means to print, sign and scan back now as done for the previous 6-month visa 3. Letter from my Employer was collected in August 2018, over 3 months back. want to use it now, Hope it's good. Thanks to revert Regards |
Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 3 by Fyorgyn: 4:00pm On Nov 13, 2018 |
ayodejicrown: My invitation letter in my last application was just an email addressed to me... I did not include any utility bill from my host or even their passport details. I did not have energy to get letter from my employer so I just included employment letter and pay slips for the last 6 months. All the best |

Good boss, pls how can I appeal for a Portugal visa denial I was rejected because the information submitted regarding the justification for the purpose and conditions of the intended stay was not reliable... Hi Guys, Just a quick question. I would like to go to Czech with my sister next year (holiday). She lives in Nigeria, I live in the UK. I noticed that direct flights from Nigeria are so expensive, and that it will be cheaper if she comes here (UK) first then take the next flight to Czech. Does she need a UK visa to do this? |
Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 3 by Fyorgyn: 8:10pm On Nov 13, 2018 |
Aphrodite007: Yes she does! Unless she flies to the UK with Virgin or BA enroute your final destination and meets you at the airport. She most definitely needs a UK visa to make the Journey easier for you both. |
