cutezain: You must get your luggage at your first point of entry in Canada irrespective if it’s your final destination or not. If it’s not your final destination then you have to re check in again. 5 Likes |

cutezain:Question is not stupid. As we say in Igbo- "One that asks questions doesn't get missing". Yes you will need to pick up your luggage and check in to your final destination. 14 Likes 1 Share |

cutezain: I'm guessing your final destination is somewhere in Canada so yes you would get your luggage in Toronto after you've cleared Immigration (documentation). 1 Like |

hi guys I need some help and advise. I have gotten ticket for Toronto early next year. I got the ticket via wakanow. Now for some reasons I have decided not to settle in Ontario but Alberta, how should I handle my travelling now ? Should I land in Toronto, do my documentation and after head to Alberta ? Would there be any consequences to this ? If I am to cancel my tickets with wakanow, would they oblige ? please advise me, mind you I dont have any money to throw around o. Every single kobo counts. |
Re: Living In Canada/Life As A Canadian Immigrant by eclectic139(f): 11:42pm On Nov 12, 2018 |
Guitarlife: I don't believe there are any consequences. You can land in Ontario. Complete your documentation at the airport and proceed to Alberta. I am saying this assuming you got your PR through straight Express Entry and not Provincial nominee. I'm not very sure of the Provincial Nominee restrictions. |

eclectic139:Thank you. I am FSW, one more question, can I travel by train or road to calgary from Toronto ? Is that realistic , its just me journeying. |
Re: Living In Canada/Life As A Canadian Immigrant by TheCongo2: 6:27am On Nov 13, 2018 |
Guitarlife: I don't see why not. People do that all the time. However, if you are driving it may take you 2 to 3 days to go from Toronto to Calgary. You will have to stop at motels or hotels for rest. If you take the bus then you don't have to worry about stopping at hotels for rest. |

What airline are you flying? Some airlines will let you change your ticket online yourself for a fee (Delta, KLM, AF). I suggest you try this first. OR call wakanow and find out how much it'll cost to change the ticket. Landing in Toronto and then taking bus to Alberta is a long journey o and might not be your best option Alternatively, you may consider flying to Alberta (Calgary is 4hrs+ by flight and there's direct flight for 500 CAD). In summary, do more research, find out the cost and time of all options before you decide. Guitarlife: 3 Likes |

nomad26:Thank you. I bookee Egypt air to Toronto and it was dirt cheap NGN 200K I am not sure egypt air flies to calgary. Maybe I will just hitch a local flight to Calgary. Will it be wise to book a flight when I land or I should have someone do that for me before I land in Toronto ? |

Hello house,Has anyone travelled with Royal air Maroc. The prices from Lagos are so low to Montreal and comparatively short flight time. Please share your view on their services make I know whether I go rush them as their prices are the best I have seen so far. |

I'd still advise speaking to wakanow, Egypt air is part of star alliance and there might be a codeshare flight to Calgary. If you decide to book a separate flight from Toronto to Calgary sha, then it is better to book it in advance but give yourself plenty time to get your bags, clear immigration and check-in again. nomad26:Thanks I just got back from wakanow office. It isnt looking good. I was told egypt air does not fly to Calgary. The best option is to land in Toronto and hitch a flight to Calgary after landing formalties have been concluded. How many hours is it likely to take for landing formalties in Toronto if I land at 7am on a working day ? I need to have the right estimation to enable me leave the right time interval before the flight from Toronto to Calgary. |

sistaj: From what I have heard, Royal Air Maroc is the flight definition of town service, kabu-kabu or danfo transport as they virtually stop at most airports to pick and drop passengers. If you don't mind the additional stress of multiple stops, you are good. 4 Likes |

I once used Royal Air Maroc from UK to Nigeria, it was okay for me. The only error is that the in-flight entertainment is POOR Jasmine17: |

Jasmine17:I flew Royal Air Maroc and it only stopped at Casablanca. I highly doubt there's a direct flight from Canada to Nigeria so most flights would stop at least once. You should be careful with the news you hear. 8 Likes |

Hi, Was it expensive to send it from UK? My brother in law in Dallas says it's too expensive to send from Dallas to Manitoba and that it will be cheaper to buy from Canada? jelmusboy: |

Oga, all my trips from UK to Nigeria, I often use them. No issues with them in the exception that they don't frequently have TVs in most of their flights. So stop peddling hear say, hear say. You have not even flown with them before and you have crucified them. Jasmine17: 1 Like |

jelmusboy:Winter gears from the UK would not work efficiently in Canada. Their winter apparels are not suited for the extreme cold in Canada. I moved here from the UK and ended up throwing my UK winter jacket in the trash bin. 4 Likes |
