So I bought this Gionee 5001s from donbaba on Saturday 27th October , 2018. He's very reliable. The phone is very okay so far. Nothing super abt the camera (8/5mp rear/front) though its manageable. The battery takes longer time to charge to full capacity, I use a normal 2A charger. This may probably change with a fast charger though. The battery last an average of 7hrs. As a heavy phone user (games,movies, surfing d net etc trust me my hands are always on my phone)
, ds is pretty okay. Every other features is perfectly okay.

Thats all I have to say.

No need to argue much. But I will just let out this info. There is the 1gig version and the 3 gig version. The ones I sell is the 3gig version.

Sadly no website have done a review on the 3gig version.

We have sold this particular brand to more then 20 Nairalanders here and none have come out to say the RAM of the phone we sold to them is 1gig.

Stevengold, I know that trick code you posted. And trust me this phone works not just on WCDMA but on 4G.

Also let me teach you another trick on phones, since it seem you a bit detailed.

In order to check the actual RAM and ROM of a phone its advisable to use CPU-Z and yes i have used it on this phone to confirmed its actually 3gig RAM and 16gig ROM.

I have this phone but I can't install fb, always giving error message.

Go to App setting. Then block the 'follow come' Facebook, then you can install your own Facebook.

All the ones we have in possession is the 3gig variant.
