The Ethiopian railway can do double stacking.few things are needed to do double stacking; The wideness of tracks,removal of obstruction( tunnels should have enough internal height) .Yes railways have limits but most railways have similar axle tonnage,and weight per meter of tracks.Ethiopian SGR has a limit of 25 axle tonnage,the same as Kenyan.
So in issues of weight both railways has same capabilities.In issues of wideness of tracks,both are SGR(1.4metres wide) remember the wider the distance btn tracks the lower the center of gravity.
