Pls provide your agents name so we can formally report such to the embassy. He's a fraud and he intends screwing up your visa application.

Cheers
He said he ll get me a public college that pays around £6000 as tuition and that i will pay just half of the tuition before leaving

Most public universities are even more expensive than private college / universities... NCI is a college awarding bachelors and masters degree but it is a UNIVERSITY.

Sometimes when you keep looking for easy way out you find yourself a victim.

That guy is about been scammed. Here in DBS at the moment and I have never heard of such payment. The minimum you can pay is 6,000euros. You are trying to correct him and he is bent on falling a victim. Later he will come here to cry.

Moving on to serious matters!!!

Roll -Call and recap as we round up 2018 in the next few weeks:

1. If you have a masters degree and you are less than 40 years preferably less than 35 years with very good english language skills---- Please and please, check your occupation / field here:

https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/immigrate-canada/express-entry/eligibility/find-national-occupation-code.html

And start your Canadian PR processing.

2. If you have a bachelor's degree or PhD , less than 35 years with at least 5 years professional work experience in what you studied at either bachelors/ HND /OND/PhD level and your occupation is on this list:

https://archive.homeaffairs.gov.au/trav/work/work/skills-assessment-and-assessing-authorities/skilled-occupations-lists

Start your Australian PR process. Please note: Australia removes occupations like 2 or 3 times a year , so carry out comprehensive research.

3. If you don't have access to funds of at least #7m , please don't apply to Ireland . This price estimate is for singles , if you're married , you should have way more.

4. If your parents are government officials e.g custom officials or entrepreneurs with no trading records, try and find a way to make the proof of funds legit if applying to Ireland. Else, just process UK- most of our partner universities now have 2 years masters program in the UK - 1 year masters degree and 2 year paid internship.

5. If you are married and what to study in Ireland, for the final time you can't go with dependents or family members. You are only permitted to do so if its a PhD program.

6. If your program will be for more than 1 year, you may have to renew insurance for each year.

7. New regulations for people currently studying in Ireland: If you want to visit Nigeria for holidays whilst your program is still in progress , kindly contact the GNIB for relevant travel permits. Ths however excludes those with British passport or American passports.

People should try as much as possible to conduct personal research and cost estimations.

No one is forcing anyone to travel to Ireland also note that people travel for further studies for different reasons.

While there lots of millionaires in Nigeria, some people have decided they want a better future for themselves and their family abroad while others feel they can't achieve their best potential in Nigeria.

ICaS and other contributors are only here to share our experience and provide guidance, decision is left to you.

As we head into 2019, may it be our best year in all we desire for good in Jesus name.

Hi. I have an offer for an Msc Chemical Engineering from Limerick and intend to apply for my visa about 3 months to September. However, I would be glad to know if you know anyone that has succesfully gotten a visa with 6000 euros as against full payment? Also, my sponsor wants to know if they can withdraw from the closing balance once I have printed out and submitted the statement of account? Thank you for all your help.

Lol...that's just the gospel truth and the worst aspect is that he seems bent on following the directives of this scam artist posing as agent. 3000euros isn't small money ooo. Even here it's like a goldmine.

Chei
What's the breakdown of the 7m like? €10, 000 is about 4.2m naira. I'm planning to apply for next year September entry but I don't have up to €10,000 sef
.. Or is the 7m + proof of of funds?

Also, does that mean if you come to Nigeria during the duration of your course, you have to let the authorities know?

It won't affect your chances so long you submit the right documents, meet the visa requirements and also declare the refusals in your application. Some people presently in Ireland were once refused visa to Canada,UK,US, etc

I doubt because as a student, you can only work 20hours per week during school period. Minimum wage is 9.55Euros per hour. Do the maths considering the fact that house rent is about €500 on average per month (May be higher or lower), transport averagely €80 per month (using students leap card) , feeding etc.

Also, masters is 3 semester. If you are starting in Sept, it means you have no summer break. Try as much as possible to get your first year tuition paid because studying in Ireland is crazy.

Certainly not possible. The best you can do is get money to pay house rent which is on the high side if you are in Dublin and then little extra as stipend. That is feeding, transportation and the rest. It all boils down to your spending habits. But the truth is, you can't use such proceed from part time work to pay for school fees. However, during vacation period, I will agree one can save quite reasonable amount of money since it's 40 hours a week but I don't think one can pay school fees out of it. Trust me, the cost of living is quite expensive here. It takes one to be extra disciplined in spending to save something reasonable.
