ManirBK: You cannot even read your own article... or trying to be smart by half. Now read slowly: The presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, Atiku Abubakar, has said he is willing to let Nigeria’s oil producing states have absolute control of crude oil revenues from their domains, but added he is reluctant to immediately implement such policies at this stage of national development. Also try reading: Nigerian states “can get more because in the First Republic the regions had 50/50,” Mr Abubakar told The Africa Report in an interview published Wednesday. “I don’t mind giving even 100% […], but I would tax those states to maintain the federal government.” 188 Likes 13 Shares |

This man is a joke. Imagine a northerner saying this? While he is trying to use sweet talk to deceive the south, the mumu does not know he is creating enemies for himself in the North. The north will never support restructuring. Nigeria can never be restructured. 71 Likes 7 Shares |

nelcliff:atiku is killing his little effort he has in north. north is not ready for restructuring thats why buhari is putting alot of effort to position the region in terms of economic infrastructures if you believe north will abadon buhari for atiku to come and take feeding bottle out of their mouth then u a politically naive. nigeria is not ripe for economic restructuring thats the hard truth.until the states start looking inwards and be productive restructuring will remain a lipservice in the mouth of politicians. 48 Likes 9 Shares |

I like Atiku and hope he gives Buhari a run for his money but I must warn that he should not be making promises that he knows he won't be able to keep. Only as independent states/entities with full autonomy can states keep 100% of their revenues. Is Atiku then insinuating that he is in support of secession by this statement?? Those that are supporting him are not expecting nor requiring him to make some of the promises he is making even. That was how he said he would sign an undertaking to do just one term (only to later renege on that) which was an unnecessary promise because even without such an utterance his supporters were still going to support him anyway. He should stop saying things like this that may later haunt him. I wish him all the best. 36 Likes 3 Shares

Sirjamo: Atiku is a big crook. He knows he cannot make good this promise single-handedly. The likely scenario is this even if he wins: he presents an executive bill for constitutional amendment, the northen majority in the House will kill the bill; Atiku would then turn to his southern Magas that he tried his best! 37 Likes 7 Shares |

And what have the Buhari/Osinbajo APC govt.done about restructuring? Resource control by the regions is one of the cardinal point of restructuring. This when pass as legislation will help the regions to develop @ their own pace & independent of other hence enhance healthy developmental competition. The core north opposition to the sensitive issue of restructuring is because their dependence on oil allocation will be forever gone with the background multiple problems bedevilling the region. 5 Likes |

Grant Full Autonomy to the 36 States. Make them contribute uniformly 10% of their Resources, in reversed revenue allocation system, to the F.G to run Foreign Affairs only. You know Buhari is a Soldier. And Soldiers like Full Control, so they can open their mouth anyhow to harass everyone as if he is Elsaksaky. 1 Like |

Yesssseeeeeeeeeeeeeseessssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssss My ijaw, urhobo, isoko, ika, kwerre brother it's just Benin brother speaking. Don't let buhari get a single vote in your domain, scatter everything if they try nonsense there . Atiku is here to make you control your own resources,, what you guys need to do is just to find a good governor like obaseki that can manage it well. Imagine buhari allowing 80% of oil going to the north while we suffer in our own land. It's too much na 7 Likes 1 Share |

Conman, the truth is that 87million Nigerians leave bellow $2 daily not because there are no resources or money available, but because the high percentage of gullible Nigerians are like unlimuted supply of natural resources to Politicians , Pastors, babalawos and alfas. People can speak big big grammars but are scared to ask simple questions like how? Like how can a Democratic President change a Constitution without legislatures or input from other tiers of government like local and state government. 16 Likes 4 Shares |
