He's not just the only one, yes he is the head but he has a bunch of staff that works for him just like Linda has her own staff, and the head of the staff is an American raised Nigerian lady called Stephanie, she brings in most of the news, that explains the gay news we all see, i know this because Steph is a friend of my mum |
Re: Meet John Abayomi Aruleba, The Owner Of Instablog9ja, Biography by Yoighaman(m): 2:29pm On Nov 15, 2018 |
In my opinion, Instablog is currently the most successful blog in Nigeria, it has trounced LIB (and other blogs) and so disclosing the identity of the owner of instablog is a subtle ploy by Linda to fight it and reduce the patronage of the blog as she understands that the anonymity of the person behind the blog is what makes it really interesting. This is a crude, vicious and damaging attack served by Linda, so when they attack her too, people should learn to be objective and understand that it is a business game which is fair just like in love and war. The owner of a blog doesn't necessarily have to be the handler but when the owner writes, you would know. Linda personally wrote that post. 3 Likes 2 Shares |

Newboss: If it is inside his resume then he would have been exposed earlier before now. Not really a Media law but conventionally, and that's based on what I've observed so far. I have seen journalists doing such in secrecy and their excuse was that the management frowns at it. It is only in Punch that Journalist would go on political assignment like being a Media Aide and would never be allow back to their newsroom after the end of such assignment. With the level of discipline and how their management operates make me think, he might be fingered for operating such. Perhaps, the discipline and all left with their formal boss. |

Yoighaman: Anonymity doesn't do nothing to a brand We know Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Whatsapp, ICQ, Wiki, etc. We all know the owners That makes them 100% accountable for what they post Even Linda is 100% known 2 Likes |

Newboss: More journalists like who? Linda is just a blogger and not even a journalist and what's so special in what she is doing? Celebrity gists and Gossips is her area of specialisation. They are hundreds of Nigerian Journalist doing excellently than Linda. 2 Likes 1 Share |

Neyoor:You should know that résumés are highly classified It's only his bosses that know what's up, which gave him an edge Who wouldn't love to have a sharp shooter on their team? They knew him, we're just the ones who didn't know about him being the owner The problem is that he might not even have been hiding. You don't just come out and say "I own this and that" That sounds like blowing your own trumpet 1 Like |

Neyoor:Linda is a fully certified journalist Tho not academic certificate, which is as good as a business administration certificate If you can run a business excellently, what's the need for a certificate? No, there are no hundreds anywhere You can't even name up to 20 who you can count on to pull off what Sahara guy, the Daily times guy, Linda, the Premium times guy, etc pull off Most are just copy and paste journalists who can't even bite |
Re: Meet John Abayomi Aruleba, The Owner Of Instablog9ja, Biography by Nobody: 4:13pm On Nov 15, 2018 |
Newboss: Yeah, she is good at what she does and what's that? BLOGGING. She has been recognized both Nationally and internationally as a blogger and not as a journalist. Journalism stems beyond Gossips and Celebrity gists she specialised at. Apart from bagging B. A in English, she had no educational backing to that effect, atleast till this moment. We have hundred of Journalists across Nigerian Newsrooms doing excellently well as a journalist than she does. Perhaps, you think it is a joke that Nigerian Journalists keep bagging Awards and Recognition even outside Nigeria. Go to Premium Times, Punch, Sahara Reporter, ICIR, you will see fine young journalists doing great. Infact, the Nigerian Media space is more competitive than it used to be. Have you ever wonder the reason for drastic reduction in her site traffic in recent time? Meanwhile, Bloggers do copy and paste and not Journalists and that's what differentiates them from the likes of Linda and co. 2 Likes 1 Share |
Re: Meet John Abayomi Aruleba, The Owner Of Instablog9ja, Biography by Newboss(m): 4:25pm On Nov 15, 2018 |
Neyoor: With English, she can easily bag a Masters in Journalism, so certificate is not an issue here Being is journalist is being a journalist, not just a certificate carrier Journalists bite really hard Yes, there are various niches of journalism that anyone could specialize in. You already know her own branch Celebrity and gossip! Even newshouses have journalists who specialize in that area Whether you use a blog or a newspaper or magazine, so long as you do the work of a journalist, you're a journalist These are all media of journalism If you can't shake any table, you ARE NOT a journalist! She can get a Masters in journalism to impress you, which is just a one year and 8 month's task. She can even get a PhD. That doesn't make her anymore a journalist than she's now |
Re: Meet John Abayomi Aruleba, The Owner Of Instablog9ja, Biography by Nobody: 4:53pm On Nov 15, 2018 |
Newboss: I've heard you Sir but it still remains the fact that Bloggers depend on Journalists to copy and paste whatsoever report a journalist submitted to his media outlet for publication. You will always see journalist attending events across the country and churning out comprehensive and fantastic report for publication but bloggers will only write two or three paragraphs of piece, lace it with pictures and call it News for those that used to fall for the gimmick . Yeah, Journalists do have specialised Niches and that also differentiate them from bloggers because a typical media outlet has a convergence of journalists that specialise in different niches but a blogger will have different columns on his blog with just few staffs in a room to do the copy and paste from different media outlet's website. Bloggers mostly do copy and paste, most of them do not know how to write news and they don't even have the money to employ well trained journalists to do news coverage for them. You will always see journalists from different media outlets in any event hosted by presidency and other top ranking officials but bloggers are always missing because they are not recognised. Even at the National Assembly sittings, it's journalists from recognised institutions that would be found there. There is a huge difference between being a journalist and being a blogger. Even forums like this Nairaland are far better than blogs because news here always have source unlike blog sites that will cheat and still fail to give credit to their source. 1 Like |
Re: Meet John Abayomi Aruleba, The Owner Of Instablog9ja, Biography by Yoighaman(m): 5:08pm On Nov 15, 2018 |
Newboss: It's a matter of choice and reasoning amongst many other factors. You can have a world-class brand without people knowing who truly is behind it, whilst some poeple like Richard Branson choose to be the face of their brands, others may choose to remain anonymous, a good example is the person behind the '69' Denim, the designer has chosen to be anonymous and has stated that fame does not matter to him or her. Being anonymous and accountable are two different things, I can own large corporations spread across the world and the only place you'd find my name and face is in the HOLDING COMPANY's registration documents, you'd never see me in whatsoever way publicly associated with the companies yet I remain very accountable and responsible for the activities of the organizations as it affects the general public and relevant stakeholders. It's a matter of choice. |

Very easy to decipher the owner. Doesn't Instablog have a bank account where people pay in money for advert? And that account if opened with a business name let's say Instablog must have owners name on the form and on the system. Call up a friend that works in the bank and the person will check out the name of the account holder. Probably that was what Linda did and If I was a serious blogger, I would have done that long time. 4 Likes |

How does this revelation make me understand how BREXIT will affect Nigeria? Linda Ikeji is fond of falling into people’s traps. What’s there to gain from exposing him apart from gaining a new enemy? |
