Next time you visit another euro-zone, get the EHIC card for 1st line consultations + medical insurance for top up ...

The UK has finally come around to realizations and not political correctness...... (in some aspects)

Thanks boss, I’ll rush and get the card. I’m telling you their political correctness eh, odikwa egwu! That’s how today I read in newspaper that they want to boycott organisations that don’t have women as CEOs... hian! Is it by force? So nobody should be promoted by merit again, it should now be by gender.. I now understand bobrisky’s plight! grin

Your friend was probably playing big man at A&E...... If he screamed the place down in pain, he would have been upgraded from initial TRIAGE..........

grin

But then shey its when Doctor is free that they will answer a screaming person, they won’t snatch doctor while doing a consultation now.. it was so bad that the nurses were running around, not walking o. Nawa!

Hello all,

Please guys can one use the history of a car's MOT to know if the car had had major issues in the past?

I know of a fact that used car na used car, anything can happen at anytime, just trying to play as safely as possible.

Many Thanks
Re: Living In The Uk/life As A UK Immigrant by nomad26: 7:48am On Nov 16, 2018
The MOT test is done once a year so the history may or may not reveal that information but you should definitely check it. Also, I'd advise to inspect the car before you buy it, especially if you're buying from a private seller. When I bought mine, I went with a mechanic friend who inspected the car and we did a test drive before completing the deal.

Yes, this should form a major part of the checks you undertake, prior to purchase.......

Simply put registration number and click on MOT history....

Use MOT historical data has a snapshot, but still conduct your own proper physical inspection......... If it does not look right, just walk away..... Their is always a better car one phone call away ......

Also pay for an HPI check, to ensure vehicle is not a write off or on finance .........

And twice a year, for vehicles used for Private Hire .....

Thanks Boss, physical inspection is very key but not sure one should expect an extraordinary clean car as it still remains a used car. Will ensure i get a 3 months warranty on it and hope for the best....

Hello guys. When trying to rent a house and you see "Non deposit option available" what does it really entail? I imagine it means you don't get to pay the month and a half security deposit which most landlords request and this sounds strange to me cos I would imagine the landlord will then demand some other form of security. Has anyone here rented such "non deposit option" properties before? What did it entail?

Read up on subrogation........ Your issue would not be with a landlord, but insurance companies with massively deep pockets to pursue 3rd party claims.......

Why can't he file for her now? And staying 6 months at a time may raise eye brows with immigration. If she can split the 6 months into 3 months - wait 6 months and then another 3 months or better still, spend a few weeks at a time and visit 3 or 4 times a year.

He doesn't need that to file for you. He can add you as a dependant on his current visa.
