There is good and bad every where. My country has been disrespected by Nigerians, and I've also met Nigerians who appreciated my country again. Many African leaders starve their nations of educational opportunities to keep the populace living in ignorance and fear of the unknown .We we have seen it here in south Africa in the rural settings . The Anc for a longtime dragged their feet on rural development(universities / colleges) because that is where they have most voters ,now that this is changing, there is more political parties participating in these areas, which is good for a maturing democracy .

I'm not saying we should not be wary of China's influence in Africa, but we should also be careful of taking everything said about China by the so called " world renowned economic experts" as gospel , they have everything to fear about this new relationship , probably more than we do. They are not so concerned about Anglo America in south african mines , they are not concerned about the shell companies in nigerian oil blocks , there is no concern about the taxes franco phone countries pay to France, etc . If there was any real concern for Africa, then China is the least of our problems, because they are still eating the crumbs compared to the west. This is a way to scare smaller African countries with little resources , " if South Africa with all her resources could be taken over by China like this , how will we survive this take over ?). As for the police stations , another huge lie .
