I'm not saying we should not be wary of China's influence in Africa, but we should also be careful of taking everything said about China by the so called " world renowned economic experts" as gospel , they have everything to fear about this new relationship , probably more than we do. They are not so concerned about Anglo America in south african mines , they are not concerned about the shell companies in nigerian oil blocks , there is no concern about the taxes franco phone countries pay to France, etc . If there was any real concern for Africa, then China is the least of our problems, because they are still eating the crumbs compared to the west. This is a way to scare smaller African countries with little resources , " if South Africa with all her resources could be taken over by China like this , how will we survive this take over ?). As for the police stations , another huge lie . I saw a post on nairaland and I couldn't stop laughing at how dumb some of these Nigerians on nairaland can be, NONE even bothered to even check the source or any South African media houses to verify , and many of them are " graduates " . Hilarious. All they saw were pictures, no one bothered to check if they are legit or doctored. The attack on the China- Africa relationship , specifically South Africa - China relations is due to South Africa fixing herself up to open a BRICS bank in the country . This can't sit well with the IMF and world bank . South Africa has influence in AU and a lot of influence in SADC , so by all means possible South Africa must be seen to be the bytch to China to scare off her friends from supporting the initiative . We are also trading less with the USA now which they can't possible like .We now take only about 2% of aid , which is not expected of an african country.
You mentioned education and consciousness in your earlier post , but you forgot to add that there is a lot of reta'rdation in Africa. This is due to laziness to think , very few want to research and explore , most just want to get to the conclusion and then we wonder why others come to Africa to do the thinking and exploring. Same with the land issue Zim vs South Africa, slowpokes just weigh in without ever looking closely at what happened in zim and why , and also what is happening in south Africa and how ?.

If Kenya had such minerals and you guys having been a direct rule , the queen would have made sure to build nukes to protect her turf from all of east africa to be invaders .
