CasualSammie: It is a ranking system, the system ranks each candidates by score, that's why someone with 80 will rank higher than someone with 70..... Those with single digit are the real MVP though it doesn't guarantee anything. All the best in the second test. Put in your utmost best, AC beckons after this stage. CasualSammie: U welcome, sorry I wasn't explicit enough, I mean it doesn't guarantee the job meaning there is still work to do at the second stage and AC. The second test is just verification test, just to confirm those scores were from you. You know some were helped by smart people, there will be a minimum score also set for people to qualify for AC, last year it was 14 out of 20 questions. No aggregate but you must beat the minimum expected score too. Take Note: The second stage is also paramount in the recruitment process as not all those who are called will make the AC, so sweat hard now in preparations so you can breathe well after the test and the result. From the mail I got, I think there will be more than 20 questions this year considering the test will last for 40 minutes. I'll definitely be sweating through the next 72 hours in preparation. CasualSammie: Yeah, that's true (more than 20 questions) the process is more stringent this year due to lot of applications (over 60,000) since they allowed 2.2 to apply unlike last year that was 2.1 Minimum, d stringency was evident in the first test that had a lot of people failed woefully, and with d mail stating combined set of aptitude questions, I advise you read wide and wild cos am seeing another tasking assessment (personal opinion). Download the necessary materials and study it a lot. I hope you make it to the AC. Keep up the Spirit to win. |

Mexyz: I can only recommend some that will be of help, look for Jobtestprep SHL materials on QR, VR and Situational Judgment also assessment day materials , education.vic materials for basic QR, VR and logical reasoning, then dragnet GSE materials for abstract reasoning (all those shapes pattern). This ugly situation was what warrant the decision to take second test that will be similar to the online test conducted by PushCV. I made mention of it in the last recruitment thread. So, easy guys!!! I just got a feedback from PushCV on twitter. This is what they said: There is no one with 30% selected for the stage 2 tests. The selection was also made based on a combination of your scores and personality answers from the situational judgement test. Any image you're seeing with 30.43% is doctored and the person will not be allowed to come in for the second stage of the tests. |

Usually i don't comment in threads, i just glance through and read comments. However, for this singular advice you just pointed out, let me lend my voice to it as i have a practical testimony about starting small and with nothing. I completed my NYSC in oct 2016 and was under serious pressure to get a job as the first son and only graduate, this time i was applying for any and every job advertised on job boards and newspaper dailies and was going to church regularly. During the yearly fasting and programme in my church in January, a brother took note of me and asked if i will like to work in an INSURANCE COY as a MARKETER with no fixed salary, just commission base. Without hesitation i said YES! Lucky, i was selected and attended the training for 2 weeks and just a month into the job, i applied for a sales job in one of the leading consumer finance banks with with the pitch that i am a trained sales and market expert immediately i got hired with a basic of above 50k and 7 months into the job i got a call from a company i had applied to before i got my insurance job, for a Brand Assistant role in the marketing department so with my 1 month insurance and 7 months sales experience in the bank i was at advantage over other candidates and i got the job with a salary above 100k plus other allowance. Moral: start from somewhere, in the Nigerian labour market now experience counts and i hope this inspires someone to take up that 10k job knowing you will not be there for long. kestare: 10 Likes 1 Share |

Like I mentioned earlier, personality test is one of the key component of selection to the next stage. So you may score 99% and have bad personality score and another person score 40% with very good/excellent personality score. If the bank is given a choice to chose between the former and the latter, the latter will become their choice candidate. I have witness and monitor the recruitment process since 2012, I can bet you that the process is one of the fairness in line with the bank's transformation programme. Please, what is the benefit of recruiting best brain with bad characters who cannot work seamlessly work with other colleagues or becomes easily irritated by customers behaviour. It is better to employ average person who will promote the bank's culture and brand, at least, intellectual capacities and competencies can be improved through relevant trainings. Candidates with 35% and above with good personality test may have been called for the next stage, the truth is that you should be able to score around or above your original test scores to qualify for the assessment center. Please note that once you are qualified for the AC, your test score becomes inconsequential. The new criteria will then be your overall score in the AC which will never be made available to you. In summary, the usefulness of your score in your current stage is to (dis)qualify you for the next stage. 5 Likes |

joashette: That's left for Push CV to decide (they might /might not), during last year recruitment scores were not made available to any candidates, you only get a follow up mail either success or regret mail. You should be bothered about doing well and scaling the physical test than seeing your score. |
