chineji: OP, thanks for telling your story. The fact is, I know that we are not the first to travel to Europe and other developed countries and won't be the last. I moved to Sweden in first week of August and since then, my hatred for our polithiefians grew a million folds. I will use a few pictures to show you what a sane nation looks like. Our leaders in Naija and Africa are heartless and worse than animals, given the fact that they come here and see all these things but decide to let their people suffer. That is why when I see Nairalanders argue from party, ethnic, and religious divides, I feel like crying for our generation, because it shows that the political class will continue to prevail on this rape of the masses. Remember, they are less than 5 percent controlling our Trillions. Do you know what? They don't wanna fix Naija cos they know it will make them feel mortal again. When a governor comes here, From the airport, He charters aTaxi or joins the train. He stays in a hotel or apartment. No fanfare No escorts carrying AK 47s No Mopol No Army No protocols what so ever They feel human As an ordinary citizen here, that is exactly how you live. Like a governor. Everyone has 24/7 supply of power, hot and cold water, heated apartment, excellent means of transport, 'free' internet that goes with rent or hotel charge. Excellent health care. I have been here for almost 3 months. 1.I have only seen 2 soldiers both in the Capital territory Stockholm and my City, Uppsala(without arms) 2.I have not heard the hoot of a car horn up to 10 times.(for REAL, no exaggerations)the traffic is a functional flow. 3. Forget steady power, U really wish u knew what life feels like without the sound of Genset. 4. Government fumigate entire cities when you sleep 5. I have forgotten what a pothole looks like. I wonder how they teach their younger ones about these concepts they don't have here, like pothole, hunger, malaria, 6. I miss sachet water(I feel that the Naija in me is still greater that the sanity that surrounds me) 7.I am studying in their National University of Agricultural Sciences (like FUNAB, MOUAU,MAKURDI) and no hospital in Nigerian attains half the standard of our school ANIMAL hospital. I practically became emotional the first day I entered there. MRI Scanning machines(4 NOs) ECG machines GENETICS/GENOMICS lab, with sequencers of all sorts.(remember no lab in the whole of Naija does genotype test) NANOTECH ROBOTS for animal surgery. My People, If you experience life in any of these Developed countries of the world, Once you wake up every morning, aswear the first thing that will come to your mind is to lay torrents of CURSES on our leaders and their unborn generations. And we are busy shouting APC and PDP upandan. What a life. PICTURES 1.One of our blocks 2.Global researchers 3.A sow with her piglets 4.Every where is a sight to behold, no place is sight seeing 12 Likes 4 Shares

monchazfarms: This is absolutely correct. No sane person who gets a taste of civility outside the shores of useless nigeria will want nigeria to remain as one. Most of the people who still support one nigeria after travelling abroad are ; 1) politicans, because they reap from the rotten system. 2) children of politicians, same reason as above. 3) ethnic bigots, because probably their brother is in power. 4) religious bigots, because their muslim brother is in power. 5) Politicians' associates, the ones who help nigerian politicians hide money abroad and buy properties. 5 Likes 1 Share |

The phony part that Op didnt capture is that anyone who does Nigerians the favour of telling them they are living in a zoo, gets bashed and called a hater even his head will be called for like they did to NK and IPOB. Maybe because most have never seen anything better than a zoo in their entire life so the zoo looks like paradise to them. Such daft group of semi animals in human form but having goat brain. princfred: I find it so appalling when people blame the whites for our woes and failures. There are many researches that has been conducted to prove that something is wrong with the black race. Whether it is genetically or culturally induced I don't know. The three mice test shows the situation and condition of black mentality. The type of leaders we have are those that are myopic (short-sighted). If you look at the current polices and plans, you will know that Nigeria is far from developing. A state government will tell you that he spent around 400billion naira on construction of roads in his four year tenure. And you look at the type of road constructed, you will weep for the generation yet unborn. When I read comments of so called educated folks, I know it is finished for this country. If the so called educated folks can support the clueless, unintelligent, unfocused type of leaders we have in the country then for the country to move forward will be a mirage. An average IQ of Nigerians according to study is 67, which means an average Nigerian is extremely mentally retarded. Is that not so? How can right thinking individuals still be hailing those who impoverished and make life unbearable for them. The reason the leaders cannot do any tangible thing in the land is because POVERTY is used as an instrument or tool of control. According to STALIN, when he was asked how people can be put in control, he said the best way to put people or masses under control is not to give the people means of survival. And that is what the present leaders are doing, they knew the moment poverty is reduced, their grip on the people will be greatly reduced. Let look at the 2019 election, it is a choice between the devil and blue sea. Like what Prof. Lumba said, he said those that have ideas are not permitted, and those that are permitted have no ideas. Until there is a re-engineering of the thought process of people, so that they will be able to choose a leader that has ideas and can see into the future. Until then, nothing will ever change in Nigeria. Though we are blessed with those that can move it forward, but they are not given the opportunity to lead. I know Nigeria shall be great when we put round pegs of leaders in round holes. 4 Likes 2 Shares |

Nigeria is a very bad country and alot of Nigerians are stupid... We celebrate mediocrity alot, OP is talking about a road in Italy and someone that hasn't travelled abroad before is saying Abuja . .How heaven and hell take relate?... Even if there's one in Abuja, is Abuja the whole of Nigeria? It's 2019 and campaign promises would still be "I'd build good roads" ,"I'd ensure 24hours power supply" . . .for Bleep sake, in Developed countries having good roads and 24hour light is like a basic human right just like Education....Alot of tertiary institutions in this countries are tuition free, some tuition even for international students, yet ASUU is currently on strike, our full Education budget is 108BN and Osinbajo stole 33BN, almost one-third of our budget and nothing has been done and would be done to him..... Gaduje was caught on camera by a journalist who risked his life for 2 years to get an evidence that Gaduje,Kano state governor is heavily corrupt, guess what? The judge ordered the stoppage of his probing and you think Nigeria is progressing A journalist talked against an APC senator seeking reelection in Enugu state last week....the Senator used the "Nigerian police" to arrest him, handcuff him and flogged mercilessly with cane, he was later rescued by a senior PDP member. A poor man climbed a mast protesting that he won't come down until Buhari leaves...guess what? He was brought down and detained... We have no freedom of speech... I'm a 4th year medical student in UNIBEN with so many attempts at small small businesses failing.... I have 2 innovations in form of a phone application that I need just 300K to start, one addressing education, the other addressing mental health, I've applied for incubation hubs without being picked and I can't get a loan due to suffocating interest rate...if Nigeria was good, I can get the 300K which is less that $1K with credit card or a government agency working on innovation.... I'm being pressurized into joining my mates to do Yahoo each day but I keep resisting, my mates drive good cars, something I'd have been driving as a result of my hard work but hard work hardly pays in Nigeria...just yesterday a kid bought car for her SS3 girlfriend while I've not been able to give something worthwhile to my mum, I'm 20 though but still it breaks my heart... It would take 9ja at least 3000years to become better. .not even a youth revolution would make Nigeria better, because the youths clamouring for Buhari are a bit below the ones clamouring for a better Nigeria... If you protest, you'd be arrested and the rest of Nigerians would be silent... Don't give me that entrepreneurship talk, Nigerians are just too mediocre...look at that fool that said Save Npower 30K, like seriously?? . . You deserve a job that's why you went to school, starting a business should be optional and a thing of Choice not something necessitated due to lack of job .. Americans always say, "go get a job" "go get a job" no one tells you to go start a business in America after you're done with school, it should be a thing of choice, you deserve a job provided by the government... Don't give me that we're just 60years and Rome wasn't built in a day talk, that just stupid....when was Singapore built? ....Rwanda ended their civil war in 1994 here, now they are the leading country in Africa in terms of development.....how come in 1973 1 British pound=2 Nigerian pound . . .how come in the 70s till the early 90s government fed university student....things are getting worse, Nigeria is not getting any better . ..the earlier you realize it he better...... 12 Likes 2 Shares |

IbrahimDamola: no mind that guy he is so used to that $hithole it has gotten to his brain Nigeria that you will apply for job, go through all the process and one goat will take the slot. Connection, man know man and nepotism killed that zoo And to think that it's illegal to deny people job opportunities based on age discrimination and any other thing like thsy; but it is practiced brazenly in that cursed land is what even baffled me the most The room to succeed for a budding millennial in Nigeria is very very slim (that is, without getting his hands soiled, if you know what I mean.) Those who like the mess and the chaos there should continue to enjoy it. As for we, we will only watch from a distance 4 Likes 1 Share |

Adiwana: My dear, you are quite an ignorant person - I dont mean this as an insult - it is just the simple truth. Try to be more studied and scientific in your assessment of the development trajectory of nations. By the way you seem to think I am making excuses for Nigeria - I am not. There is a lot we could do better and there are many things which are simply inexcusable about our state of affairs. A great many things. This does not however take away the fundamental truth about the sociological, economic, historical, climatic, commercial, political factors that situate a nations development trajectory. For heaven's sake go to school. The mere fact that you dismiss the age of Britain just shows how shallow your knowledge is. If you had a clue what they have been through you would shat ap at once. |

Raalsalghul: This is frankly st.upid. What you have done is just about the same thing as someone saying that if a part of say, France, secedes today and becomes a new nation, then it is a young country and also a developed country and that proves that age and time has nothing to do with development. This is just a faint example of what you are doing. That is a wholly nonsensical approach to have. Mark you, development is not limited to physical infrastructure. Most development of any nation rests in the evolution of its mind. Thus even if you flatten the whole of Germany today with nuclear bombs and they have to start building their physical structures from scratch, this does not mean that they are in anyway on the same level as an African nation. Their mental development which is 95 per cent of the development of a nation is at a stage that will ensure that in a few decades they are back to full first world development status again. The same thing applies to places like Japan and South Korea. Some people ignorantly state that Japan was devastated after the second world war and had to start from scratch and because of this they compare Japan to us. This is very silly. When did such a thought as Nigeria even come into existence and how long has the mental idea of Nigeria asserted itself in the world and what time has that idea had to firm itself up and resolve its internal conflicts? Japan by contrast is an ancient civilization which has been at the top of its game for thousands of years now. Its homogeneous history has the sort of deep roots that no nation invented by colonialism can have - in simple terms Japan has had quality time to come to self consciousness and self awareness in a way that it is foo.lish to expect of fifty year old African states which are the artificial products of colonial lines and which thus have a long way to go with respect to coming to terms with their national identity alone: not to speak of such powerful things as national consciousness and self awareness which propel a people forward. I can go on and on to break it down further for you but please do not task me too much: rather, calm down and become a studious person and reflect on history. Do not let any one tell you that the history of the matter does not matter because that is one of our pitfalls as a people: we pay too little attention to history and as such we do not understand anything. The nations you worship take history very seriously and for good reason too. You must come to understand the historical context of a subject before you can intelligently discuss it. 2 Likes |
