The former vice president and the presidential flag bearer has promises if elected will sell NNPC. You could remember all the national Asset sold during his tenure just to boost make them effective the results now. Is that what is actually needed now by Nigerians.

Abeg sell am joor!

Let it function like mtn and glo.

At least better people will get employment instead of padi padi quota based employment that they are currently doing there.

On a more serious note, selling it to private investors is far better. Nigerians will be able to get value for money when it is privatised just like the telecoms sector. Privatising nnpc will bring a lot of investment and job opportunities for Nigerians.

Even the moribund refineries will be made to work by the investors.

If we leave it the way it is, we are just postponing the evil days of fuel crisis/scarcity.

Are you sure that's gonna be the solution? Where is Nitel, NEPA,Ajaokuta steel almost all the privatised assets have not yielded the purpose

well, I believe selling shares of the company, will make it more commercially viable and will be more transparent in their dealing and government will simply tax them for what ever profits. I think it is a good idea. Government managing it, just results in fraud by government officials while and independent management is not controlled by any government body. Atiku is a free market believer, so it makes sense for him to say that.

Nitel is what you have in form of mtn and glo today. Is it not better that way?

NEPA is not fully privatised. Only some of it is privatised.

Ajaokuta is not privatised.

The main problem privatisation may have is in ensuring that it is handed over to competent private investors. Either way, privatisation is usually much better because it encourages competition, competence and effectiveness.
