When you find an industry outside oil & entertainment where you beat Kenya by four times - then come and shout. When it comes to services - I have shown you with data that Nigeria at best is equal or twice Kenya - thanks to it's sheer population - it cannot be more that. Generally Kenya has more sophisticated & mature services sectors....that is only second to South Africa in Sub-Sahara.

I know this is beyond your paygrade but let's go slowly.

1) Telcom - in 2018 I estimated Nigeria will end the year with total sector revenue of 8.5B - and Kenya 4B. You obviously think our telcom sector is just Safaricom & Airtel only - we've got Telkom & FinServe & other small operators. Safaricom control roughly 30M subscribers- and the rest share 15M. Safaricom last year had annual revenues of 2.2B dollars..and already in 2018 first half they've hit 1.2B (7%) increase..so expect Safaricom alone to hit 2.5B dollars. The rest who control 15M subscribers will add another 1.5B in revenues.

Now you vaunted MTN Nigeria (who dominated your telcom sector) first half results indicated they had total revenue of 1.6B (21 billion rands/N567B) - from 55M users - Safaricom with nearly half it's customers had 1.2B.

You can add total revenue from GlobalCom & Airtel - and Nigeria would struggle to get 8B dollars.

As you can see population is nothing.

2) Financial & Inter-mediation - I have done this previously in this thread - Nigeria total banking assets were something like 40B dollars - and Kenya was 20B dollars.

3) Gambling. Don't even try. Kenya's SportPesa revenues would bury your alive. The amount of money that kenyans are gambling on is immense.

4) ICT. Here it's not even a tie. Kenya is MILES ahead of Nigeria in ICT. Check internet stats, funding, startups, hubs and infrastructure we've laid here. In first half of this year - Kenya had scooped of all ICT funding deals in Africa.

Nigeria had the highest number of startups securing funding at 31, followed by Kenya (23), Egypt (21) and South Africa (19).“Nigeria which managed a higher number of deals, could only get a gross of $29.41 million, while Kenya with lesser deals amassed, almost three times of the total funding received by Nigeria,” notes the report

5) Tourism. That is rather obvious - Kenya has 3 times the number of branded Bed (hiltons, radisson blues) than Nigeria - let's not talk about Lodges & Resorts, parks, tourist arrivals, conferences and the works.

6) Gov services - You now you've got about the same budget as Kenya.
