Joebie:Even Oliseh did not cover himself in glory with respect to selection. Silvester Igboun was always the first on his list. I could not understand it until we learnt his brother is the guy's agent. Where is Igboun now? Rohr also has some dodgy selection problems. Ezenwa's surprising calls to the national team and his shocking inclusion in yesterday's game is a baggage that is difficult to explain away. His constant refusal to give Onyekuru considerable time in matches is also to be explained. I think we deserve better than what Rohr is giving us. No coach in the history of the country has enjoyed the kind of support, both morally and financially, he's enjoying from the NFF. If Keshi or Amodu had produced what he did at the World Cup, they would have been sacked. No questions about it. 2 Likes |

The Super Falcons played absolute rubbish today. Throughout my playing days I've always detested those long forward balls playing style. Really an assault to my eyes. |

joseph1013:On Onyekuru, Rohr prefers players who track back to defend and are not too attack minded, which is why Kalu keeps on starting ahead of Onyekuru because of that balance. We shouldn't forget that Onyekuru has also played up to 8 champions league matches without a goal or assist to his name. If Ebuehi was available do you think he would have kept Kalu on the bench? |

Round up of the Nigerian players on target for their respective clubs in matches across Europe on Sunday, November 18. Promising striker David Okereke has now been directly involved in 7 goals from nine appearances in the Italian Serie B this term after netting a brace and providing an assist for Spezia in their 3-1 win against Benevento. The 21-year-old opened the scoring in the 11th minute before setting up Matteo Ricci for his team's second goal, then closed the scoring on 58 minutes. Over to the Portuguese Segunda Liga, in-form striker Christian Irobiso made it three goals in four matches in the division after netting the winner for Sporting Farense in a hard fought 1-0 win against Mafra. The former CF União Madeira, FC Paços de Ferreira and CD Cova Piedade man struck five minutes after the restart. In Scandinavia, Varbergs BoIS FC retained their status in the Swedish Superettan by beating Oskarshamns AIK 2-0 at Påskbergsvallen. Emeh Izuchukwu scored a crucial opening goal for the home team in the 20th minute. |

EEGA:I have no doubt that Keshi would have qualified from that group. Croatia was not spectacular in our game. Croatia grew into the tournament. Keshi would have won the match at best, and drawn at the worst, dispatched Iceland and possibly draw with Argentina, who are at the worst in a long time. You guys need to remember that the 2018 Eagles were the most cohesive and happiest set in about the last 40 years. In 2014, the team was going to the game against France fighting NFF about money. As at match day, players were still grumbling. Rohr might still not have qualified in a group having Argentina, Bosnia and Iran. 3 Likes 2 Shares |

Was able to catch up with the last 10mins of the Super Falcons match this evening. But I was disappointed with what I saw. They played like their male counterparts (SEs) the difference was that they didn't get the result this time around. Our national teams have been dishing out crappy football in recent time. The u-20women have been the worst so far. I hope the pro-Rohr group enjoyed the match. Me I'm allergic to crappy soccer. Note: I was a staunch Rohr's supporter during the World Cup Qualifiers. I have castigated folks like Mikael2 and Goldfish80 in the past in his defense. But during the pre-world cup friendlies and the tournament proper my eyes were open. I know the man for who he is. You guys can go on to say whatever you like, but one thing I'm so sure of is that, sooner or later you will agree with us. 2 Likes 1 Share |

Of a truth SA are now our football rival. Our pride is gone. SMH. Mourinho's first season in Manchester United was a success as it was full of trophies. But do you know what, Man U fans weren't satisfied with his style of football. They were complaining despite him getting results for them. They knew they were in a rebuilding stage but they understood the difference between Results and Progress. He was getting results but his team wasn't progressing... Guadiola on the other hand struggled to get result at first but his team was progressing... Today both sides are miles apart. Recently Paul Scholes and other ex-manchester players have been complaining about same... I don't blame them. They are only demanding for more! The more some here think is too much to demand from Rohr and his team. Sooner or later Rohr's results will vanish and we will be back to the drawing board as usual... We are no football minnows on the continent and if we must win or loose against any African sides we should do so with class and pride. 4 Likes |

Chukwuemeka007: This regression is not unique to Nigeria but affects Africa as a whole. African football is regressing comparative to yester years. Isaac Success is nowhere on the same level in comparison to say Yakubu Aiyegbeni. Look at the consistent goal scoring rate of for example Yakubu who played for multiple clubs in the EPL. Let's be real three seasons in the EPL and two goals is that outstanding to you. He has a name tag of I play in the EPL but his goal return for a striker both in La Liga and the EPL has been abysmal. How would you equate what some have called him Isaac Success ![]() Can Success be compared to Nigerian strikers Yakubu, Yekini, Ikpeba in any way or form. Or let's talk African to bad boy Adebayor, Fred Kanoute, DD Drogba or Beni McCarthey, let's go further back Tony Yeboah. For goodness sake many many years ago an African won the balon dor. These are examples of African strikers and TOP OUTSTANDING TALENTS not wingers or other forward players. There is general regression in the quality of players that are coming out Africa comparative to years back. That's a simple observation. But let's talk about teenage or U21 talent it's established and proven by consistent top class performances in a very limited time span for all to see on the field of play. With regards to your last question on what is talent❓ Talent is relative to circumstance. So one can say they are all talented in thier own right but with regards to being top class players in world football. Would you say they are ![]() Some may get there but right now there is a very long way to go. 2 Likes |

joseph1013: Does the socail dynamics of inter personal relationships, HAPPINESS equate to outstanding performances and football dominance. Please let's not play comedy. Andy Cole and Teddy Sheringham hated each other and didn't talk off the pitch. But thay had a great partnership on the pitch that resulted on goals aplenty. Can team 2018 be compared to team 1994, 1998 or 2002 with all the bickering, in- fighting, hatred and rivalry. Please let them hate themselves and win Afcon and the world cup than love themselves dance Shaku Shaku, wear best kit and do nothing. 1 Like |

TheGoodJoe: In the context of African football l understand your position. However, I believe our aspiration should be above that. African football has regressed comparative to yester years. So let's increase our aspiration and expectation to the higher levels of world football. How do you equate SPECAIL TALENT past glories or present continous progression and development. Football is a very short term career and if at age 21 you are not playing professional senior football then your in regression. However, if you are in world class top team Barca, Bayern, PSG, etc, etc you may be given the benefit of the doubt on account of limited and restrictive opportunity. |

komekn: Isaac success and KC Iheanacho have been hyped to the high heavens in this thread. The way some monikers here talk about them, even if these guys score tap-ins, they will romanticize the goal by saying it was pure class. Their continuous invitation by Rohr is not helping matters too. Especially KC....why this guy still gets invited beats me...I swear. These guys now see SE as their birth-right and such they aren't improving their games any longer 2 Likes |

I am no longer in the mood for long epistles. Nations cup is almost here. Then we will see what some of us already knew. And the fact is Rorh is clueless! Yes and lemme spell it ...... iN caps.... C-L-U-E-L-E-S-S. If we really wanna be honest, we didnt fail to qualify for afcon on field of play per se. Like Joebie said, we lost because of NFF shenanigans. Many of us celebrate qualification ticket more than the actual Showpiece. Pray tell folks. OF what use is ur qualifying when you will still get to be playing boring matches at the Afcon or worldcup? Wouldnt it be beta u neva qualified in the first place? Why do you think its easier during qualifiers than actual tournaments? Simple. Its always a 2 legged affair. Unfortunately, our dinasaur gaffer will make the same mistake he made at the world cup. Dont be shocked. A word is enough for the wise |
