As a member of the International Human Right Commission, protecting human right and working toward peace, he was awarded a Goodwill Ambassador, and later appointed as the first Nigerian ambassador for the commission where he his now contributing significantly to policy formulation, strategic input and guiding the implementation process. In 2012, the world chairman of the commission Dr. Muhammed Shahid Amin Khan awarded him an international human rights award for excellence service to humanity.
