One thing I like about komekn is that he doesn't resort to insults even when insults is shoved to his face. That's a sign of a grown as$ matured dude.
It's no rocket science differentiating between a loosed up kid and its variant.

Komekn simply has more knowledge about English born naija players than others hence he is/looks like he's biased towards them.
I do think Samu is a major talent sha. Komekn, you need to watch him a bit more. A cameo appearance isn't enough to glean anything from.

@thesupernerd, there are no justifications for the amount of insults on Southgate please. Everyone is entitled to their opinion, no matter how biased or appalling it is. And as someone as intelligent and old on the thread like you, u should already be used to his antics. Even though we all know that his views can be so amusing and head scratching sometimes, he doesn't deserve this much insults for them.

What happened afterwards when the key players got old and lost steam but the coach refused to change pattern?

Good evening house, the noise emanating from the quarrels in this house has become deafening.

I was on another section of nairaland and I heard people shouting at each other. I could even feel the vibrations from where I was. Davep came to call me that the House is on fire and that he too took part in the burning. Lolz.

TheSuperned, Komekn and the rest of the combatants please lay down your weapons, we have had enough for the day. Let all nerves calm down please.

All I could see is passion for the father land, yes. But let's respect ourselves. The arguments are already going over the roof. Please gentle men.

Firstly, you should have noticed I haven't said one word to TheSuperNerd. In that context there is nothing to lay down.

Secondly, abusive, vitriolic caustic rhetoric are totally alien to my diction. Nothing to lay down there.

I don't see passion

I see misguided blatant bigotry and prejudice.

Everything said so far has been one way traffic of abuse and hatred.

Lots of presumption lots of assumption, never ending allegations, but not one word of substantiation.

This whole brouhaha started because I asked a question ❓ What makes Chukwueze HUGE TALENT WONDERFUL, OUTSTANDING, etc, that's essentially all. A question that should have instituted a healthy informative discussion.

Don't you think you should direct your query to the instigator in chief if you are to fair and balanced.

For goodness sake why would anybody get so heated on a faceless forum.

Firstly, I want you to backtrack check my posts.

I will say once again I haven't formed any holistic opinion on Chukwueze. But some how it's assumed in the minds of many that l have. And in the negative.

Once again I reiterate I watched him in the Rangers game and he was not impressive. IMO. That observation did not constitute an over all opinion.

Go back possibly a month ago and l commended Chukwueze for his discipline and dedication.

I simply have not formed an opinion in the negative or the positive to the tag, HUGE TALENT. That's where the discussion started.

What it has done, it has shown the depth of irrational emotive prejudice and dislike that some have on this thread. That's very SAD.

I don’t know how true that is.

Ahmed Musa Urges Victor Moses To Reverse Decision To Retire From Super Eagles Ahead Of AFCON

Former Leicester City frontman Ahmed Musa is urging Victor Moses to reverse his decision to quit international football ahead of next summer's Africa Cup of Nations in Cameroon.

The skillful Chelsea winger called time on his international career a month after the 2018 World Cup, citing family and career concerns.

Manager Gernot Rohr went scouting for Moses' replacement and ultimately handed a maiden call-up to Bordeaux new signing Samuel Kalu for the qualifier against Seychelles before Villarreal winger Samuel Chukwueze was invited for the matches against South Africa and Uganda.

Speaking to reporters on Monday in Asaba, Musa said : ''If he (Moses) wants to come back, the door is always open for him. For me I miss him very well.''

Musa has become more influential for the Super Eagles since Moses retired from international duty, having had a hand in four goals in his last four games.

''The reality is that I know my country and I always have to give my best,'' he added.

Victor Moses won the Africa Cup of Nations trophy with the Super Eagles in 2013 in South Africa, he wore the national team jersey 37 times.

Oga speak only for yourself please and don't start up another fire.

Don't mind that one... I Sabi am naa. No be today... So insignificant.

The only way Komekn garners pity is by his show of absolutely fake gentlemanliness. What is gentlemanly in a man who constantly lies, who constantly attacks the home-grown section of Nigerian talents while always praising the other foreign-born section, a man who constantly take sweet joy in twisting facts and ignoring bonafiet facts when it comes to Indigenous born Naija talents discussions??

If Jesus Christ could use the term "brood of Vipers" on the Pharisees and scribes in perfect description of their foolery and John the Baptist did not hold back when describing the idiocy of the religious fellas of that time who also never resorted to insults so as to appear in the right... Then I can only follow their path in doing same thing and doing it with pure gusto because it is just saying it as it is. I choose my words as it is not everyone I take this path with... That should tell you something.
I know the stand and agenda of everyone on this thread... I don't forget how anyone (apart from those elders I met on the previous thread) enters. It is just a natural thing that sticks and it serves me well in discussions with anyone coz I can always tell where one is coming from or heading to.
And I am 100% certain that Komekn is only a voice out to silent the rise of our indigenous born Talents. His agenda is purely destructive of whatever good we have coming from the local front of our football.

Did using "brood of Vipers" on the Pharisees make Jesus the bad guy all because the Pharisees did not speak back? Hahahahahahahahaha.... I laugh at the foolishness of some here. Deceived by the snake-like fake gentleman strategy of that master clown called Komekn.

Listen Ehn... This thread and this house was always a place of much more intelligent discussions and rational analyses until Komekn walked in here and brought with him his deliberately silly ways of ignoring facts and twisting them just to talk down on the Indigenous born Naija talents. But as long as I am still gonna be visiting this thread, I repeat... I will shoot down any false comment of his and fight it with facts and with a perfect description of his traits at any given time when I see the need for it... I have ignored many of his silly comments on our Indigenous talents many times... But on Chukwueze, he really crossed the line.

That man is a venom of hate towards the Indigenous born lads. If you cannot see that truth, because of the sake of maintaining some fake peace here, then maybe I am indeed alone in seeing that coward clown for who he truly is.

Gentleman my ass!!! Hahahahaha.... Such a low life monotonous thinker who lies and twists facts for fun here? Like seriously? Only kids or maybe kidults will be fooled by his antics....

Rohr Set To Make 6 Changes Vs Uganda; Rules Ezenwa Out
By Johnny Edward

Super Eagles coach Gernot Rohr is set to make at least six changes to his starting line-up to face Uganda Cranes in Tuesday’s international friendly, reports Completesportsnigeria.com.

Rohr who qualified the Super Eagles for the 2019 Africa Cup Of Nations championship after missing out on two editions revealed during his pre-match interview that Ikechukwu Ezenwa will play no part in the international friendly billed for the Stephen Keshi stadium in Asaba, Delta State.

Ezenwa was in goal for the Super Eagles who were held to a 1-1 draw away to South Africa at the FNB Stadium last Saturday.

“We have two goalkeepers who didn’t play against South Africa, we’ll make about six changes because we want to see everyone,” Rohr revealed during his pre-match conference on Monday ahead of the game.
“Afelokhai and Akpeyi will feature in both halves of the game.”

The German tactician is expected to start Daniel Akpeyi in goal for the game with Rotherham United defender Semi Ajayi partnering William Troost Ekong in the heart of the Super Eagles defense.

Bryan Idowu who missed the team’s last three games will start at right-back while Jamilu Collins keeps his place at left-back.

In midfield, Victoria Setubal midfielder Mikel Agu could line up alongside John Ogu and Oghenekaro Etebo while Isaac Success is set to lead the lines for the Super Eagles and he will be flanked by captain Ahmed Musa and Samuel Kalu.

Meanwhile, a 31–man Uganda Cranes delegation arrived Asaba Monday evening and trained the Stephen Keshi stadium ahead of the clash.

The Cranes were 1-0 winners in their last encounter against the Super Eagles in a friendly game played at the Akwa Ibom stadium in Uyo in March 2015.

Farouk Miya scored with a powerful header to ruin Vincent Enyeama’s 100th international match for the Super Eagles.

The game will kickoff at 4.30pm.

Bristol City Keeping Tabs On Prolific Nigerian Striker Who Is England's Top-Scoring Teen

Championship outfit Bristol City are looking to sign one of the brightest Nigerian teenagers representing an English club, Sunderland's Josh Maja, according to reports.

The 19-year-old is attracting interest from clubs higher up the pyramid on the back of his blistering from for the Black Cats.

Sunderland Echo making reference to Bristol Live says Bristol City are considering a move for Maja, who became the first teenager to reach double figures in the top four divisions in England this season.

Maja netted his tenth league goal against Wycombe Wanderers on Saturday with a Bristol City scout in attendance at the Stadium of Light.

Sunderland boss Jack Ross admitted after the game there's no update on the contract situation of Maja, meaning he could walk away from the club as a free agent next summer if he doesn't put pen to paper on a new deal.

A former Crystal Palace and Fulham youth-teamer, the center forward has been on the books of Sunderland since 2015.

It begs the question of whether we are better off without Moses or not.

With Moses we will have a true Big gun who is feared across the continent coz of his reputation in England built over the years... Buuutttt... The likes of Kalu, Onyekuru and Samu may not get their chances.

Without Moses, we will see more of the rise and rise and rise of Onyekuru, Kalu and Samu and even more of Moses Simon perhaps. But they are not yet big established professionals like Victor Moses as their growth and evolution is still on.

Michael Obafemi makes Ireland debut as Nigeria, England miss out

The 18-year-old came on for his maiden international appearance with the Boys in Green, thus, bringing an end to speculations about his future

Michael Obafemi made his international debut for Ireland, with Nigeria and England missing in the race to have the Southampton teenager in any of their set-ups.
Having earned his maiden call-up on the back of impressive progress with the Saints in the Premier League, the 18-year-old was touted to make his bow for Martin O’Neill’s men in last Thursday’s friendly draw against Northern Ireland but saw the entire duration of the tie on the bench.
In a move to put an end to speculations over his international future, Obafemi came on as a 8 0th-minute substitute in the goalless stalemate against Denmark in Monday’s Uefa Nations League closer.

Is it that you too just wanna act oblivious to the sarcastic ridicule in komekn's comments on Pavarotti's post or you just want my attention? Okay, let me indulge you for a bit... Just a bit...

First off, the Pavarotti post read "Nigerian fans cannot wait to see new Villarreal wonderkid, Samuel Chukwueze...."

And immediately Komekn jumped in and said the following below your comment as seen.

Now look at the bolded carefully with the knowledge of how he always talk down on Naija talents that have indigenous roots.

1st case is on "overhype route" he mentioned:

Now I ask, where is the silly over hype route in terming Samuel a Villarreal Wonderkid seeing that La Liga have also termed him one of the best highly rated Youngsters in Spain? Or does Komekn not read the news? Is he not on this thread? Some folks shared the pic and information of la liga naming Chukwueze among its top finest youngsters who has impressed so far in la Liga... It has been here for days Or you want to tell me that Komekn suddenly became blind to those posts? Is he that restricted in information? Maybe he needs a better wifi connection perhaps to enable him view more pages without worry of data? Or maybe it is sight problem? Ah well... But I just don't understand why the simple referral to Samuel Chukwueze as a Villarreal Wonderkid made him ask such preposterous questions all in a bid to ridicule the lad... (Okay, I am lying here. I actually understand. It is because Samuel is not an English-born. Komekn that will defend a wastepipe player in Solanke because he is a borough boy but be questioning the talents of a la liga recognised super talent... Hmmm... The man really do not know talent if you ask me).

2nd case: Moving on to the next line of comments, he asked, "how many games have this "Wonderkid" played at Villarreal?

Now tell me, did he ask such a question to know or he asked it to ridicule? Do you think we have Dumbos here? Maybe some of you wanna act dumb but not me and certainly not some of us here who read the sarcastically styled ridicule in his silly question. Why did he have to even use "wonder kid" in such a sarcastic and subtly shameful manner? The sarcasm in his comment could not be hidden and you are here trying to defend him saying he asked only a simple question. Well, it only shows that it is not all of us that can read ridiculing sarcasm.

Utonwanne:

Komekn asked a question, a question that deserves an answer but you chose another route. It would have been better if you 'jump and pass' instead of attacking his person. Tone down your emotion abeg

komekn:

Just to bring some context and prevent us going down the over hype route again.

Does anybody know how many games this Wonder Kid has played for the first team at Villareal
❓❓

What makes him so wonderful in the context of world football not local.

Well, no specific quotes from Ademola but the English U-21s Manager did say that Ademola said....

Everton youngster Ademola Lookman pledges future to England following heavy interest from Nigeria
By Dominic King for the Daily Mail

✓Ademola Lookman will have a big role to play for England Under-21s at Euro 2019
✓But the Everton man has been the subject of concerted interest from Nigeria
✓Football Association have been aware of Nigeria's interest in him for some time
✓Aidy Boothroyd has been assured Lookman is committed to playing for England

Ademola Lookman has pledged his future to England after holding face-to-face talks with Under-21 head coach Aidy Boothroyd over persistent stories linking him to Nigeria.

The Everton winger was part of the Under-20 squad that won the World Cup in 2017 and he will have a significant role to play for the Under-21s next summer in Italy, as they bid to build on their promise and win Euro 2019.

However, Lookman has been the subject of concerted interest from Nigeria, whose manager Gernot Rohr is preparing for next summer's Africa Cup of Nations and said three weeks ago that he 'wanted to change his mind so he can play for us as he will add something to our team'.

The Football Association have been aware of Nigeria's interest in him for some time but Boothroyd spoke with Lookman, 21, at St George's Park last week and has been assured that he is committed to representing England.

'Every time I see him I have a little joke with him about it,' said Boothroyd, whose side face Denmark in a friendly on Tuesday evening. 'I say: "Why would you want to leave us?"

'But he's very focused on England – that's what he tells me. He says he wants to play international football for England.'

Lookman has endured a difficult year. His heart was set on a move to Germany to join RB Leipzig but Everton refused to do business and he found himself out of Marco Silva's team, but the last month has seen an upturn in his form.

'He's had a tough time of it, but he's been better recently,' said Boothroyd. 'He got himself into a state over summer when he didn't know where he would be playing or if he would be moving or not. Now he has just got his head around the fact that wherever it is he is playing, he has to play well.

'He has told himself "I just have to focus on me" which is right. When you look at Dominic Solanke, Dominic Calvert-Lewin, Tammy Abraham, Reiss Nelson, Ryan Sessegnon and Ademola, we have some real attacking talent.'

When the engine were still fresh and the players young and virile.

What happened afterwards when the key players got old and lost steam but the coach refused to change pattern?

2014 World cup group stage;

Spain 1 vs 5 Netherland

Spain 0 vs 2 Chile

Maybe you do not know that Netherland and Chile play brilliant football. So this does not make a case for you.

SE camp update

Ikechukwu Ezenwa featured as a midfielder in training earlier on Monday ahead of the Tuesday friendly. How funny. OGN says he dazzled but I am suspicious of what they mean by dazzle. Lol... Ezenwa as a midfielder.... Kaaiii... Well, in training, anything is possible... Hahahahaha...
I observed he is confident with the ball in his feet.

Ok, I hear u but let's call it quits with that particular argument and move on.
