Why is it difficult to run this uber business thingy in Naija??

In fact, i think the real question is: why are Nigerian drivers(the ones i have dealt with) such ungrateful and untrustworthy chaps.

We cant we just invest and recorp in peace?

Does anybody still think this Uber thing is worth it??

Nice. why the stress on in your name?

secondly so I Wanted Axamansard to insure my 3-year old 2010 Camry. They have 2 types of Comprehensive; Auto Classic and Auto Plus. So i chose Auto Classic with excess buyback everything at 4.15% . So They valued my 2010 Camry that i have used for 3 years at N3,850,000:00. I dont know why they would value my car that high. My premium is 160k and on autoplus 183k..

axamansard is one of the few insurance company's that pay claims promptly (max 7days) ehailing almost ran them out of business, currently the will not even insure a vehicle on Ehailing. Imagine insuring 100cars on Ehailing and 90 of them filed claims above their insured value.

Now to your particular question. If your car is Brand new or toks of 10years old, if you smash your headlamp in an accident and you file a claim will you ask for a 10year old head lamp or a new one?

If your answer is new then you understand why the valuing system has changed. Since the insurer has to replace parts with new ones, there is really no difference between a 10year old car and a new car to the insurance company when it comes to claims.

Smaller mushroom insurance companies who do not pay claims promptly or put a lot of hurdles before paying claims will offer less on value of vehicle, but when it is time to pay claims they show their true colours.

I will always use mansard because they are upright.

I use the moniker axamansard for all my vehicles insurance needs.

So Axamansard no longer insure cars on ehailing. Thats pathetic. But they won't know it's on ehailing na. I get their explation sha. The guy told me they lost a lot of clients but the management will not bulge. That new or renewal will be with current market value. That their main headache is on partial loss not on total loss. So of you want any value then no excess buy back. Even with this, insurance is cheap in Nigeria. Some people pay as high as $150 monthly as insurance abroad.

How is it uber's business that he transferred 1m to a wrong person? The money has nothing to do with any trip/transaction on uber platform so he should deal with it appropriately without dragging uber in the mud.
if actually is true. I pity that Uber driver. Cursed money. This is how people bring curse into their lives.

Its a good deal for both parties if its a direct tokunbo without any issue. But you must be an experienced driver to handle hire purchase. Don't dare it if you are a new driver.

How long is the HP period, hope you have a Plan B for the week you don't make 30k.Think it through well you don't want to lose out after 6 months/ 1 year.
.Also as a newbie trying out a rental for about 1-3months first would have been an advisable option so you have a feel of the market although as December approaches there will be a rush so don't assume February -November is the same way...All the Best

I said it sometimes that rating in Nigeria is useless. During the period my vehicle was in perfect condition, I was getting useless ratings.
But for more than a month that I have bought this portable dvd player, with the vehicle not in a perfect condition, I got only five 4 star ratings and the rest has been 5 star ratings.
You are wiser now, you just applied this principle from the Bible.
Ecclesiastes 10: 10. If the axe is blunt, and one doesn't sharpen the edge, then he must use more strength; but skill brings success.

1) Can I use a temporary drivers licence (they issued after capturing) to register as an Uber Driver? Do they accept that? YES

2) What other documents do I need before going? ALL YOUR VEHICLE PARTICULARS

Thank you very much!

Is it by force to speak to a rider? This hustle is indeed troublesome. I rarely engage in conversation with my clients especially the female once, I respect myself and avoid all form of drama. I don't beg for rating, I simple execute my part of the contract. Pls, what have I done wrong here?

It will surprise you that it's the one you were friendly with that rated you one star out of ignorance, some of the riders know nothing about the rating system and just click one star, when they ask for reason they select conversion, in their mind they enjoyed it and think they just did you a favour. Uber needs to educate their riders more.

Direct tokunbo without any issue is good as you won't have major repair to do on the car for like 6 months. Talk to your partner, let him give you a free week after every sixth or seventh payment, with this you will have more money to save for repairs. I will advise you to use recommended fluids for the car. The main challenge on ehailing is maintenance and repairs. Use the December rush to learn the rope and I hope you are not married so as not to put all the family expenses on the car. If you are single and hardworking you will make it easily. All the best bro.

The guy is on HP. Either 30k or 35k it depends on the agreement BTW the two parties. Carshopper is collecting 25k because his drivers are involved in the repair. Others collect 35k and bear the cost of all repairs. Its all about individuals.
