komekn:

Opinion in football are time limited, with time they go up or down. Are proven and unproven nothing remains the same.

Absolutely correct, l am not one to jump on the first few games a player has made and shout Messi is born. SPECAIL HUGE TALENT has arrived. No my view is to watch, wait and see some consistent MOTM performances, some Wow moments. Over the course of the season. However if you keep scoring in consecutive games then your rapidly becoming amazing.

We had similar fireworks when l said Nwakali is not Outstanding Talent I notice my detractors have gone quite for now.

Not too long ago I termed Isaac Success "Wasteman" his disciplinary record was deplorable, totally unfocused he even put on weight.

But like I said time changes everything either for good or bad. Well this season he has woken up. But he has a long way to go, his goal record totally abysmal. Is he Wasteman, at this point in time not anymore. But is he now DD Drogba not at all.

I presume you are talking about Ryan Ssegnon. I watched him live for the first time when he was 16 playing for Fulham against Blackburn. I thought he was good but not outstanding. But then he was 16 playing regular first team football, that's quite remarkable I thought.

I then called my friend head of recruitment at Fulham and joked I bet you'll want £10 million for this kid as a joke. Well he said No, that's too cheap we want £25 million.

By the end of the season this teenager was putting in continous top level performances. I watched him score two goals against Newcastle. That summer Liverpool bid £30 million. Now for a teenager that's outstanding talent proven and now tested. But that's over two consistent seasons. What's shocking He is now still only 18 and has played near 100 professional first team games. That's OUTSTANDING in my opinion.

I do think he is struggling a bit now, but that may be reflection of his team thay have been quite poor almost permanent in the relegation Zone. Maybe this new manager might save thier season.

So what we have essentially is different STANDARDS for what we consider TOP OUTSTANDING TALENT.

My view is its almost near impossible to be outstanding huge talent from two games in La Liga.

I said near impossible, I think Rooney as a 17 year old is one of the few exceptions. I remember Yobo telling me about this small boy giving them big wahala in training. That l should watch out. But then history has proven him right.

The final word, would you then feel you can make comparison with Ssegnon and Chukwueze. One who has barely stated the race and one who has already gone round the track a few times and won.

I still haven't given a view on Chukwueze it's too early in the day IMO. Very Good player with lots of Promise is my actual view of him for now.

Fulham actually play open football, a striker should naturally have a good day in that team. Is he an outstanding talent? IMO, not by any stretch of the imagination, but is he a huge talent? Probably. At 0-0 I watched him miss a sitter after getting the beating of the expensive Van Dijk, his decision making is still faulty. It was that miss that brought my attention back to him because I remember you in particular said something about him being the best youngster in world football(in your opinion of course and that is perfectly fine), for the rest of the game he was average at best and for a former fullback like Bale, the defensive part of his game was suspect. Of course I deducted all these from the match I watched live in the stadium(but that is just ONE game) but because you have been watching him since he was 16, you have come to his defense and knowing fully well that you have a lot more knowledge than I do I think I have to believe that you saw something special in all of his matches that you have watched.

Now let us come to Samu's case, you have watched just one match, a 10 minute cameo nonetheless(similar to the the number of times I have watched Sessegnon) and you formed an opinion that he isn't so good, meanwhile Guillem(the primary Spanish pundit for Skysports if you watch LA Liga) who has probably watched all his games(a similar case to you and Sessegnon now) is telling you that he is a huge talent, do we still need to watch him over and over again to believe him? If you want me to believe that Sessegnon is an outstanding talent just because you said so and not because of his match that I watched then I think it is only fair that you also believe Guillem's assertions because he said so and forget that cameo he had on that day.

My devotion to the Super Eagles is not even a topic.

In the past you have been devoted. However recent antecedents did raise my eyebrow.

But we are clear now and I understand you perfectly.

Do have a nice day grin

Look, TheGoodJoe may be harping always on aspiring to be playing the best brand of football based on the ever rising attacking talents at our disposal but that is no reason to fault his devotion to the Super Eagles.

Goodness me! What is wrong with some you monikers here? Some of you really have no clue about many things here... How can you even doubt TheGoodJoe's devotion to the Super Eagles? Sir, the rate at which some of you comment here shows you haven't been following.

But the wayo fella indeed agrees that Komekn was being mishievous. You can look up and see just in case you are lost again. Not everyone want to take the bold part like Jesus did in calling a bunch of pretending gentlemen-like pharisees brood of Vipers naa. wink

Me, I just said it as it is. Finito.

And I don't prefer the home-grown over the foreign borns... That is a nonsense deduction to make. See what I have been saying? You really are lost on this thread. Na wa... Are you even reading at all?

I am for the best talents that will take our Super Eagles forward be you Foreign born, Home-grown or from Mars... Everyone here knows that. So stop trying to say what is not.

You are thickheaded. You don't wanna accept being at fault.... Whatever rocks your boat. This issue Don tire me Jare!

Lol... You are right shaa. Our goalies have to improve their ball playing skills. Footwork is an issue right now for them and I hope they can improve on it. It is one of the attributes that made Enyeama so social for us in launching attacks and building from the back.

On Ezenwa being happier than Agbim... Looolll... Na you Sabi that one ooo...

Ederson of Man City and Brazil is a top goalie I must confess and one of the best GKs in the world with the ball at his feet. His distribution and passing are really wow. Not surprised really to hear that he had done some midfield shifts. That is really cool.

I consider that being resistant to your vain attempts at painting me black... That's all. So please, try to pay more attention to the thread going forward so that you don't make such careless and baseless deductions aiit. Have a nice day Utonwanne... Lezie anya oge ozo, ezigbo ubochi. wink

First of all, "every single" is really hyperbole...

And again.. I will love you to really ask that of Jesus Christ too who was involved in lots of controversies while on Earth. When you can get the answer to that, you will have found your answer. I find that the people who stand for something great and good always seem to be involved in controversies. So plsss ask the Jesus in your moniker...

PS: De ja Vu? I have given you similar answer before... Unless you have forgotten.. wink Have a nice day Sir.

Since you won't answer that directly.

I also wish to find out if you sometimes feel lonely behind the screen. And you always have the feeling of wanting to be accepted by peers around you?

I'm sorry if you find these questions intrusive.

Jesus had his inner circle... I also have my inner circle. I am never lonely but like Jesus and other great minds I cherish some alone time which always refreshes me. There is no greatness without alone time sometimes. It is vital and extremely necessary. I say this only to educate some reading my comments as guests.

And stop with the questions because I should be the one ditching out the psychoanalytical therapy questions and not you. Gerrit?

So why is it that you have this knack for reading people wrongly? First it was TheGoodJoe and now it is me. Is it a regular thing with you? wink

Kai Nerdie everyone can’t be a founder of the thread and we can’t expect the ones who joined later to dig up past moniker posts to know their stance. Also there are situations where monikers change their views. Just correct them when they get it wrong, and move on.

And let me add all ghost readers, guests, etc should always feel free to air their views here. No walking on eggshells. It’s just a forum after all.

No no no... Joebie... I am not even stressing on the founder tag... Besides the founder is Joseph1013 who gave births to others like Terzurum5 and Orkperkyandega. They even hardly comment but we respect their legacies.

The truth is I know the AllforJesus Moniker. He is not new here and that is why I had to wade in and ask why he would even doubt or question the devotion of a moniker like TheGoodJoe to the Super Eagles. It was really funny and awkward at same time to me.

Is it not I who did a strong campaign to bring out many of the ghostreaders aka notorious silent crew from their periods of silence to try and be contributing every once in a while? Have you suddenly forgotten that one too? How I was spotting every ghost moniker and giving them random mentions with comments just to lure them in? You don't remember?

So you can see... It is not to restrict anyone. I only wanted AllforJesus to see how wrong he is to even pin such doubts on a moniker like TheGoodJoe. Chikena.

Rohr does not know what to do with Onyekuru grin grin grin

Well...he shoud keep him on the bench...till Iheanacho gets injured or Samuel Kalu dumps Bordeaux...

If this assertion is true...then We just sidon dey look Rohr...till his contract expires..because his conservatism has been working for us in Africa.
He has not done something wonderful for us...just an ok guy...coaches have qualified us for world cups and nations cup...no big deal...

Just relax and enjoy his antics and everybody-feel-good disposition
