What people are failing to tell people here about treasury Bill investment is that T.Bill is not really for starters and it will not make you money as a starter, since at first you won't even have the huge capital to invest in T.Bill that will give you reasonable profit.

Treasury Bill investment is good for 2 categories of people. 1st is those that already have financial strength and looking for where to invest more and as a way of secured investment for future or even retirement.

The second category is for those who luckily ran into to money e.g. Those that won heavily on lotteries, bets or other lucky means and are still thinking out of profitable investment to go into, now instead of just dumbing the money lying idle in the bank as you think of investment to do, you can now invest some of the money in T.bills while you continue to draw the road map to a potential investment.

I will not suggest a starter, who have only N500k in his purse to look in the direction of T.bill investment cos it will just be like wasting of your time for peanuts.

To go into a profitable T.bill investment, you need like fallow N5M or above, so you can then use the upfront profit to do other business while your N5M remains intact and secured for you on your T.bill duration.

Reason I said it is not even good business for starters except on the 2nd condition I highlighted above

The reduce tax rates will create an investment boom become many multinationals who are transparent tax payers will be attracted here.

Also, we are discussing a reduction in corporate taxes and not income taxes. Nigeria does not have the lowest tax to GDP in the world!

India's tax revenue increase was due to a reduction in the tax rates and not enforcement. The tax authorities were pleasantly surprised.

Also, stating that an increase in consumption will majorly benefits imports is misleading. You're the first person I'm hearing this from.

That statement is only practical for countries with small nations like Israel where the manufacturers focus on areas they have comparative which are primary niches or micro niches. Their home market probably accounts for less than 10% of sales

The population of their home market is not big enough to support production of household items.

When I go to the average malam, the vast majority of products sold are locally made.

As for consumption leading to inflation, it is a well known economic relationship! Why do you think when central banks want to reduce Inflation, they increase rate of money banks must keep with the central bank, thereby reducing money in circulation, thereby reducing consumption?

As I have said before, the tax rate is never a major consideration!!! Have you heard of any company saying the tax rate is high? What they complain about is multiple taxation from states and local governments. If you say Nigeria don't have the lowest tax to GDP ratio, name the country with the lowest ratio please.
The vast majority of what we consume in this country is imported! Can we start with a list?
Rice, imported
Fish, imported
Bathing soap, mixed
Toothpaste, mixed
Clothes, mixed. Mostly imported. Either the fabric or complete cloth
Shoe, imported
Furniture, imported
Tv, imported
Radio, imported
Fan, imported
All transport system (car, motorcycle, keke, etc) all imported
Besns, local
Palm oil, imported. I am sure you are surprised about this
Vegetable oil, imported
Noddles, local. Raw materials imported
Pasta, same as above
Bread, same as above
Sugar, same as above
Salt, local

So what exactly are you saying we produce that will benefit from this?
Also, Nigeria experienced this. When OBJ govt increased salaries in 2001, what did you think happened! Inflation rate went up and Naira value dropped in international market due to increase in demand for foreign goods.
Hope you understand my epistle. Won't be responding to you again

Ask yourself this question, 'is there anything you can do so well that anytime there is a need for someone to do that thing people will first think about you.

Help me, help me, is not enough. There are millions of people needing help. Dont be part of them. Be one of those people will be ready to pay to help them get things done

bro pls i have a trusted brother who is into welding.. And he does it so well.. Matter of fact he has worked for various one man entrepreneurs in this field... Just that the offers he has been receiving has been anything but manageable.. At the moment, he foots the bill for his house rent, feeding and many other daily expenses through working at uncompleted buildings.. Pls if u have any link of anyone who can be of help to this young man, it would be highly and forever appreciated... Thanks in advance.

Before government will charge high taxes. There has to be increased money circulation (currently, there is no increase in money circulation). Which still boils down to crude oil (accounting for 95% of Nigeria's export revenue). Diversification is not a thing that can be achieved with just one administration. But we can start with deregulation, which is reduction of government power to create more competition and better management. This is what I believe Atiku wants to do.

How did the deregulation Atiku did under OBJ fared? What exactly are we enjoying with the deregulation that we will trust him to do it again? This govt did not increase the tax rate. It has been same for a long time

you should have it at the back of your mind that tax isnt the only avenue the government has to garner revenue for diversification..

Go and read up on fiscal and monetary policy[color[/color]=#550000].

Besides thats not even the main issue self. With the way corruption has eaten deep iinto the thinking faculty of our policy makers, it doesnt matter how much Nigeria make from oil.. We will hardly make any headway.

Its quite pathetic

I should read up on fiscal and monetary policies? Lol!!! I won't say more than that

2015. N1.5M to be exact, and since then there have been no turning back. Between 2015 and now I have made over N180 million. Ten years ago if anyone had said I'll ever see a million I would have laughed that person off. 15 years ago I was walking round Festac Town, sometimes barefooted selling vegetables (shokor) and okra. When the season comes I sell corn..With a trey over my head walking round Festac shouting "BUY SHOKOR". It's the most humiliating thing that can ever befall any on in secondary school as I get to see most of my classmates..girls included. I once saw a classmate and nearly ran for cover, unfortunately the trey fell on the road, and right there I had to stop and picking back the items one by one lol.

The day Nigeria played South Africa in the semi final at the Ghana Nigeria 2002 Nations Cup I wasn't even allowed to see the game. I had to go Kiri. Then, as timaya said " I dey on my own Jehovah just bless me o". God took me from rags, the bottom of the food chain in the family, the most despised and hated, God took me from that to become the richest person in the history of my family. Anyone who doubts the existence of God and his propensity to fight for and bless the underdog, the oppressed, is doing himself a major disservice. I have experienced first hand how God works. It's incredible.

I pray God pick my call like he did yours.

Got mine at 26 via fiverr. I felt on top of the world.
But then, fiverr started their madness, from disabling my goldmine account to settings big hurdle for new seller, coupled with saturation too.
I'm still grateful to them tho.

Alright let's make this work. I've gone through the thread from the first page to the last page and I'm honestly inspired learning how people came across their fortune. I've also shared mine, became a millionaire at 23 (cryptocurrency investments and trading). 2019 is going to be a massive year for me and I'm opening up an opportunity to a few of you on here. I need dedicated people who can work. Yeah I know you all feel inspired but behind these millions are serious work. I don't want someone coming to me to beg for money, there's no free money anywhere and I honestly don't have money to dash out, but the little I have I shall give, which is pointing you to the way to make your first million next year legitimately.

To qualify, you must be in atleast one of these categories:
*You should be a graduate currently serving(preferably in schools)
*An undergraduate.
*Determined to work hard and be goal oriented.
*Ready to use your brain because this is going to be very tasking but pay will be worth the work and I guarantee you 1million by this time next year.

Please I'll repeat again, I am not giving out free money. I will only furnish you with every information you need and give you clues on how to fish then the ball will be in your court.
Interested people should drop their email, and I'll email you my contact. Thanks

OBJ handed over the economy to Atiku. Handed over. He was the head of the economic team, not OBJ! Atiku reminded us of that fact when he launched his policy paper. You still didn't answer the question. What did Nigeria as a whole or the common Nigeria gained from the deregulation Atiku carried out in the past?

Obviously, you didn't read the link I sent. So this is turning into a pointless argument. I'll reply with this lastly.
1Atiku didn't head Obasanjo's economic team. He only picked members of the economic team (Its just like saying Osinbajo is running the economy for Buhari). BTW, Okonjo Iweala was the finance minister at the time and she was at her peak.

2. Deregulation had been strongly opposed by the NLC during Obasanjo's regime. So no significant thing was done except selling off non-functional refineries. Ironically, the NLC was headed by Adams Oshiomole, who is now the APC national chairman.

The oil and gas business has various aspects. It is highly specialized and you need to be very specific on the thing(s) and service(s) you want to engage in. From exploration, to drilling, to completion to production to maintenance/servicing to general contracts like supplies etc. You need to know the area you really feel you can handle based on passion and desire. Experience and knowledge can be sought.

Follow this link to the DPR Site and see the various categories and the area you desire:

https://www.dpr.gov.ng/wp-content/uploads/2018/08/LP-GUIDELINES-2017.pdf

To do anything in the oil and gas industry you need a DPR License. Even if you want to evacuate poop! The link above will give you some ideas on various services.

Cheers.
