As-salaam Alaykum Warahmotullaah Wabarakaatuhu

Sunnah is weak in Nigeria, weaker in South West and one of the places it is probably weakest is Ifon Osun near Ilobu.

A place where the people of bid'ah imposing themselves over the Muslims have subjugated virtually all the Muslims to practices contravening the Sunnah and the Shariah.

For instances, you dare not give birth and name your kid yourself, you must invite the 'Ulema' for the baseless naming ceremony.

Also before the 'Ulema' will pray janaazah over your dead, which of course you are going to bury in your compound, you must pay a fee otherwise your dead will be neglected.

A place where miscreants - a mixture of thugs and jalabi charlatans - will openly and menacingly threaten the few people in the Sunnah of physical assault.

And so on...

Meanwhile, about two years ago Allaah the Mighty Lord facilitated a masjid for a group of brothers in the Sunnah but on a very small land at Oke Alaafia Area of the town.

Alhamdulilaah, the congregation is surging gradually. The masjid however cannot contain the people who attend the jumu'ah there. This has called for a necessary and urgent expansion.

There are about six plots of land around the masjid which the owner has shown a desire of selling. He wants to sell it at N250k each totalling N1.5m. If we are able to get the land, Inshaa Allaah, we will expand the masjid and commence the building of a sizeable madrasah upon the Sunnah. Such a madrasah is presently lacking in the whole of Ifon Osun.
