We have the players. But we need to play better as a team. Keep it simple. Icon4s: |

Small diversion guys concerning the Falcons. Does anyone know how the under listed factors will be ranked assuming we have 3 teams with 6points in our group? A.goals for B.goals against C.goals difference D.head to head Angola's head to head advantage over the super eagles is still a nightmare for me to date. Thanks |

Mickael2: Firstly, Chukwueze is not the central issue here, but the never ending allegations from presumption, conclusions from assumption and conjecture to make deduction. But they are birthed at least here from self perception. Nobody knows the hearts construction and only God knows the heart of a man. I often use longer descriptive words and repeatative differing diction, to make matters clear and unambiguous. I find in my engagements a need to pay attention to detail, not rely on assumption and enshrine clarity otherwise I will have contention. But it seems people read what's in thier mind and not what's written. I am disappointed with you. Because most times you are objective and substantive in your approach. I have said maybe twenty times. I have not formed any opinion on Chukwueze. Once again l watched one match and IMO he was not impressive. That's not my sum total of him as a player. I have read his statistics, he has played two games in La Liga with a number of cup games with two goals so far. IMO it's way too early to make projections as to being HUGE TALENT. Otherwise my opinion is that he has a GREAT ATTITUDE is Diligent and disciplined and has very good potential and exceptional talent. But please look at the bolded, when did I form an all encompassing opinion based on one game ❓ ❓ that in my view would be silly. I do not hinge my opinion on another person opinion l may consider it but will not under pin my opinion. Because so so said so. I'm sorry that's not me. I talk to a lot of people in football high and low and they all have different opinions on the same thing. I gave you an assessment framework using Ssegnon as an example. The boy had played near 100 professional games and he is only 18 and he has been consistently outstanding with top notch MOTM performances. This is his third season of competitive first team football but now in EPL. Add to that possibly first time in the history of the PFA a Championship players was voted Best young player of the season. The accolades are too numerous to mention first player born in the 2000' s to score in the EPL. This 18 year old is now essentially a seasoned professional. I mean his goal tally and assists last season were phenomenal for a LB. Statistically speaking he was the best, it's not an opinion but a matter of fact. You are asking me to compare him to Chukwueze who has just started playing first team football. Do you really think that's a fair and balanced approach. How do you compare them. If you wanted to measures and be objective and tried to implement a balance score card assessment it would fail as incomparable. Guillem is a person I don't rate his opinion as substantive fact or having overriding weight. I have watched Gary Neville make many howlers and get it very wrong many times. All pundits have knowledge but they are not the final word. Have you noticed l hardly ever refer to pundits to underpin my view. What you may not know is that some of my views come from Managers, coaches and agents, etc. Once again the issue is not necessarily Chukwueze bit how we make a deduction that a player has outstanding exceptional ability, potential and talent. I possibly use the term sparingly and many use it anytime a players does a rainbow flick in a match or plays a first team game. Finally, l go to Anfield quite often but not as often as l could do. So next time your going, watch out l could be sitting next to you. Lol |

AIG07: We really should have some benchmark for standards. Look at the SE of the past you aways had Proven, Tested and High quality Strikers who were reverred if not feared across Europe. Yakubu, Yekini, Ikpeba, Aghahowa, Odemwingie, Obagoal, Uche Kalu, etc, etc The major difference is that these players didn't get access to the SE on account of U17 & U20 past glories. Or familiarity with the powers that be in the NFF. But entirely on thier exploits in the top leagues of Europe. Our striking department is VERY WEAK none of our strikers are top strikers to be reckoned with. Apart from Ighalo there is no outstanding quality. African football is regressing it seems. 1 Like |

junnyjake: I look at players over a period for consistency and upwards progression. In this regard I don't understand the obsession with Akpoguma. He is ok probably but if we are looking at moving our football to a higher level then Ajayi, Omeruo and Awaziem are not on an upward progression for top quality. They need to do more. |

Icon4s: I think ot should be open and in the public view so emotive sentiment allegations will not detract from the final outcomes. But there has to be some sort of assessment criteria framework that's objective and transparent. |

junnyjake: Firstly, selection has to by merit and not past glories. If a player is not performing in his club that's the end you will not make the cut. In our SE some players seem to have permanent residence status. An example is Kayode when he was on Fire in Austria he was not given time of day. Before Ajayi had played one game in the Championship Dominic Iorfa had played two seasons and was winning MOTM awards as a teenager for Wolves, was invited to the England first team to train. But was not invited and please forget all those stories in the press they are misrepresentation. We now have Ebere Eze making waves once again what's happening, Before anybody knew who Josh Maja was he was invited to train with the SE. Unjustified I still feel at the time. The guy is now become hot property. We are wasting time and playing games. If we had a collection of Obagoal's and Yakubu's l could understand. We have an almost impotent strike force once again no urgency. It's possible we may loose him. Ademola and Dele Alli both left League one straight too the EPL. Why, because they were the stand out consistent top class performaners in league and club. See link below transfer rumours clubs queuing up to get him. https://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/manchester-city-tottenham-southampton-keeping-13385470 You have players who have been good quality consistent over a long period but largely ignored. Look at Samuel Adegbenro Rosenburg fc one of thier stand out players but he is not on the radar of the SE. I am sure you can probably add to the long list, using a criteria of consistent outstanding top performances. This situation of selective selection is causing more harm than good. But instead we invite speculative potential yet to.be realised over proven tested ability and quality. e.g. Nwakali brothers, etc 4 Likes |

Odunayaw: But not all. You can ask Arjen Robben l can add African physiological make up is different than Oyibo. I remember watching Taribo West playing wing back for Partizan and burning teenage players on the wing. He was well over 30 and that was his official goo age. |

tbaba1234: In that case it's toss up between Aghahowa and Babangida. My opinion is that over the 100 metres Aghahowa rules but Babangida will win the first 10-15 metres, His acceleration was just BLISTERING. |
