TheGoodJoe: Firstly, I think we need to move away from this presumption that's it's all Rohr. Rohr is involved but thee are other players and participant's with thier differing agendas. Musa was dead and buried in Leicester the EPL is not for all players. He then wisely decided to return to his comfort zone. Russian league he then had a complete resurgence in his career, that was the justification for his call up. Club selection policy can be problematic sometimes when thier is conflict between Manager and player or other interests. Such as Dominic Iorfa is having at Wolves whuch resulted in an FA inquiry into Wolves and the activities of super agent Mendes running the club by proxy. Wolves has more Portuguese players than Benfica and Porto. That's a clear cut non football issue excluding a player. With regards to club selection, I don't know of any current player of Nigerian origin that was clearly excluded for matters that were not related to performance. Uzoho gets in because Enyeama was denied opportunity in the first place. And because we simply did not have any quality goal keeper, it seems. In this event when the desirable is not available the available becomes desirable by certain individuals in the NFF. There were many other goal keepers available but they were not given OPPORTUNITY. So we will never know how good they could have been or not been. Uzoho is there right now, is he the best goal keeper we have, I 100% doubt it. Across the entire local leagues you are saying thier was nobody. I simply don't believe that. 1 Like |

junnyjake: I in all honesty can not with integrity create a list. But I would over twelve months invite a least 30 players who have been outstanding in club and league and give them opportunity. That opportunity will translate to both training and games and if we have to arrange more friendlies so be it. But it will be a measured balanced level playing field where justification is by performance not assumption of quality but proven quality. From that selection we can arrive at point where players will be selected on merit. Some existing players will be there some will be dropped. But it will be on merit. |

TheGoodJoe: I hope you know that national team football is different from club football...between Iheanacho and Diabate...i will take Diabate who has more drive and is more incisive...even younger...Nacho is more experienced but that does not add value to our national team CURRENTLY....Puel of Lyon is not the Puel of Liecester...He had wonderful players including Govou,Gorginho, that Malian and othes...he played smooth football in France...He thinks Iheanacho is a finished product...no....He should work on him to trap very well...DRIBBLE too....use a bit of right leg...work on his free kick too...and above all SHOOT FROM AFAR....all these have disappeared from Nacho `s play and WORST IS THAT ROHR HAS NOT SEEN IT 3 Likes |

Nacho and free kicks....the one against Argentina was it not luck?.....or perhaps bad positioning by the goalkeeper?....How many free kicks has he scored for the national team since his debut? I think he should stayed in Manchester City and benefit from quality training or move to developmental league like Belgium or Holland....but his father..... Nacho should move out of EPL or go to a team known for HORNING TALENTS or TO PELEGRINNI Because the way i see him now....he has become a square average player or below that even.....Rohr has not seen it...we live with it.. Nacho needs a coach that will work on him...he is still an unfinished product and Puel and Rohr do not know this 4 Likes |

komekn: There is resurgence in Cameroon...even the players invited....Did you see save after save by Onana[Ajax goalkeeper] against Brazil? The team we will meet in AFCON is going to be very solid...at a stage they played with so much confidence against Brazil...it was on and off...we have not fortified relevant positions-midfield-in our team....if Mikel is injured or red carded...our team panics or loses confidence...we need more fortification and more competition for places ESPECIALLY MIDFIELD AND DEFENCE...our attack is loaded but not prolific... Iwobi is best in giving that FINAL PASS....not dictating play from the middle...our middle need battlers, commanders,Oliseh type..Rui Costa model..no showboating....Iniesta levels 2 Likes |

Lol today I decided to go down memory lane as the falcons prepare to face Equatorial Guinea in the AWCON in a match that can define the fate of the African giants. I bring u our discussion on kickoff.com Nigeria, way back 2010/11 when the Simpore brothers disguised as females to wreck our falcons http://www.kickoff.com/mobile/news/22484/equatorial-guinea-drop-sibling-stars-from-fifa-womens-world-cup Where are my fellow kickoffites that year? Oh how time flies. |

gamaliel9: Fact, Nacho created more chances than any player against South Africa. I was very happy with his performance against SA. He is losing confidence because of his coaches. They just expect miracles they don't want to give him time to find his feet. With my last money I bet Iheanacho scores the decisive goal against SA but he got subbed. Players who can play nonsense for 90 minutes and still score the winner are special players and should be treated as such. I can watch Luis Suarez miss all day and still believe that he will score because that is what he is, a scorer. We don't have a player that can score like Kelechi. 2 Likes |

komekn:The Ugandans were physical and rough against us. The Onyekuru we know needs at most 10mins to show what he is capable of, but against Uganda he didn't make any impact. We created more chances in the 1st- half with Chukwueze and Osimhen than in the 2nd-half. 1 Like |

BascoVanVeli:Wetin do am against Iceland and Argentina. Created? Please throw more light. A guy with heavy touches against SA. He killed a counter- attack that would have gotten us a goal. When he got the ball he just didn't know what to do with it, as he hesitated the SA defenders recovered to collect the ball. Iheanacho was poor against SA. As an analyst you say things the way it is not making statements like"he needs our support".Like say others wey better pass am wey no receive call-up no need our support. 2 Likes |

Rotherham United boss Paul Warne has said that he'll give Semi Ajayi a hug when he returns to the club after international duty with the Super Eagles. The central defender was an injury time replacement for Alex Iwobi in Nigeria's 1-1 draw against South Africa on Saturday and three days later, he started and completed a game for the first time in his international career vs Uganda. Ahead of the South Yorkshire derby against Sheffield United, Ajayi is expected to undergo a recovery session today. Speaking at a press conference on Thursday, Warne told reporters : ''I'm told there are no issues. ''Semi has been traveling so he'll come in and do very, very little today. I'm looking forward to seeing him again, I'll give him a hug. Same with Marek. ''It's brilliant for them and it's brilliant for us. The fact that the lads are competing for us as they are, is getting them recognition from outside the club''. Ajayi has been a key member of the Millers squad this term, starting and going the distance in all the seventeen matches they've played in the EFL Championship. 1 Like |

gamaliel9: Sometimes before you can be successful you need to FAIL. Cameroon have come from s position of rock bottom with thier football and had to face up to reality. The glory days are gone. Thier football administration was riddled with nepotism, corruption and in shambles. They had to back to the drawing board. They have and decided to get an incorruptible manager who is uncompromisingly principled. Then look at his assistant Kluivert this is REAL PROGRESS. I can assure you these guys are highly motivated money is not thier motivation. But putting African football on the world map. Imagine we had Seedorf and Kluivert our football will be a different story. But our system makes it almost impossible for us to engage them. |
