I'm not a student of economics at the varsity but I know a thing or two about what it entails. When we were tussling with the Nigerians about the 'per capita' reality, they just didn't seem to know how important it was and how much it really meant. Soon enough, they accepted it but ignorance was still rife in them saying we are better in this and that sector 2 or 3 times more than you. When they learnt that this wasn't good enough for a supposedly 375 billion GDP like the Nigeria's one,they started saying that they were now better than us 10 times or more in each sphere without even producing enough proof to back up whatever they said. .

How they go on arguing about issues is just beyond me!

For Nigeria's 2016-2021

“Of the $2.8 billion that the Nigerian market will add between 2016 and 2021, all but $452 million will come from Internet access revenue. The combined elements of TV and video will add nearly $200 million in revenue growth to 2021,” PwC said.

For Kenya's

The report says Kenyans E&M industry was worth $2.1 billion in 2016, up 13.6 percent on 2015. Revenue is forecast to grow at an 8.5 percent compound annual growth rate (CAGR) over the next five years, hitting the $3 billion mark in 2020, and totaling $3.2 billion in 2021. “Internet access is the most established industry within the Kenyan market, boasting the largest revenues and one of the highest growth rates to 2021,” PwC added.
