In the school I learned there is one day in a year where senior high school students celebrate culture day. I don’t know if it’s the same day as the country nation and nationality day (I forgot).

On that day, I did dance a little. I didn’t prepared well and as result didn’t fully dressed traditionally. I covered my hair like Menelik II do. The shirt was wear by some rural young Amhara. The shoe was common among rural Afar, Tigrean, Amhara.

Is there a national culture day in Kenya? Are there ppl in Nairobi who usually dress traditionally? I see Maasi ppl dress traditionally but I think their base is far from Nairobi.

We dont have a national culture day, its only recently that the concept is starting to gain root. What we have are a series of cultural events from different communities that are celebrated at different times of the year.

Since then there has never ever been a civil servant that had to go a month without their salary in South Africa.
