He wants to visit South Africa and was hoping the naija passport would be visa free , and I told him that will be the day the government of South Africa would be sacked by the citizens with immediate effect . Many Nigerians have no business being here , they are wasting away and destroying our already messy reputation. The Anc would never risk their 2019 votes for us. And by the way op, why would SA be visa free to us when they have to pay visa to visit naija ? I don't see 2 of the big 4 panning out. Universal health care will certainy happen - we are already more than 30% - and it pretty easy to get everyone covered by NHIF. 0.5 housing units is also going to happen - already gov this year will get 1B dollars plus from housing tax. Food security & Manufacturing - there simply no serious plan there.I know there are 60 dams and irrigation schemes but I don't see gov really focusing on that. Manufacturing - we need to bring in Chinese big time - and we aren't.

Then there is the blue economy, we can leverage from this conference to fund projects via PPP if our ministers get to have a good rapport with whoever will be attending this conference. This conference is big. Even the world Bank and the UN is buzzing about it. I can see manufacturing taking a new turn with industrial parks in Naivasha and Eldoret,don't forget of the Special Economic Zone in Mombasa . Big things have been planned but the implementation is key! Healthcare I'm certain about it. For food, get rid of Kiunjuri, there is no passion coming from that docket. Whatever happens, I always choose to remain an optimist ! Going by our projections from the treasury, they sound realistic and achievable!

I also very optimistic but let's be realistic. Our manufacturing has gone down from 17% of the economy to 8% the last decade. Poor countries like Uganda and Ethiopia are starting to export finished goods to Kenya. We need to do a lot more here. I think Adan Mohammed knew what he was doing - but the miraa chewing guy now - is pretty much useless. The same with Kiunjuri & Wamalwa...to fix our food security....we must do what we did with energy...dump anything rain...and focus on irrigation schemes. That should be gov singular focus...not worrying about smallholder farmers issues (let counties handle those).

But good thing is that anti-corruption fight seems to be so serious - people are now pausing - before they dip their hands in public coffers.

But yes with or without - Big 4 agenda - Kenya economy will grow - it's on it's own momentum now - and GDP will certainly rise from 9 trillion Kshs to 15 trillion Kshs in 2022. You can already seem the amount of money getting wired through m-pesa - last year I think folks wired around 4.5 Kshs trillion (45B) through mobile money - that shows your the economy is very vibrant.

Anyway if gov delivers 0.5M housing at those prices (1M for 1 bedroom) and ensure nearly everyone has NHIF cover for both in & out patient and then continue to fight corruption & invest in basic infrastructure - I would be more than happy and Uhuru legacy will be more than secured.

Actually, that's a known Nigerian mentality. I guess you haven't been on this thread long enough but your Nigerian brothers kept crediting African success from other African countries to whites and Indians. You may have a hard time making freinds there because of language problem.The city is new, I mean it started developing fast recently. So, it could have an advantage for making business there. I have heard someone say that the city isn't comfortable as Addis Ababa when it comes to shopping because they don't have plenty of goods to sell there. Probably, this is going to give you a big opportunity for making business
