The same father that never requested her to continue bearing his name, but out of stupidity she wants to keep doing it? My sister's identity now lies with their husband. Anything g other than that is disobedience to God and man. |

alBHAGDADI:May God open your own eyes too so you can differentiate opinions and personal translation from the Word of God. The word of God is Sacrosanct, don't play word games with it. "Wives, submit to your husbands..." and not "wives, throw your names into trash bins...". You lots think you alone has the monopoly of interpretation of God's word by the holy spirit. To you, submission means discarding one's names, to few responsible ones, it has nothing to do with that. Who are you to tell them what the scripture meant when it didn't say so? Don't present your overly ego-filled interpretations as God's word because you will be cursed! And yes, I am praying to Almighty God to keep people like you far away from me. 4 Likes |

Nigerians number 1 problem is illitracy and over religiousness.. (okay ethnicity too) The religion we all practice were even brought by the westerns... But na we carry am for head pass.. 50% of the most wealthiest pastors are all Nigerians, Believe it or not these pastors are using us to create wealth for themselves, Have a five minute walk around your area, believe me you'll see more than 5 churches all with different idealogies, it's now even a competition... This tells you one thing, that we are most gullible and shallow-minded people on the planet.. Sometimes I'm shocked at the way some folks not even worship the GOD again but there pastors and there false preachings.. 60% of the Americans, Europeans, Asians just believe in science, The big bang theory, and just existence... and that's what keeps them going.. They live, love and die... But over here it's a different story... the poor keep waiting for manner to fall from heaven while the rich keeps getting richer.. We are even more sinful than are... I mean look at the headlines of our news.. "Yahoo boys kills 21 year old student"... billions of dollars missing everyday... Yet the people that believes in science are Producing all the tech advancements we use today.. Am not seeing we should all believe in science... Am a rational person.. I believe in God's existence, cause i know we had to be created by something which even science can't prove... I do believe in science too.. I'm also a believer in miracles and blessings believe me I've seen things which even Einstein can't explain... All am saying is we should try to be more sensible, open-minded and rational thinkers and less over-religious... The world is evolving and leaving us behind... I pray we catch up with it. /DrSavage/ 2 Likes |

LEVITE150: All ye blind people, please read. 1 Peter 3:1-6 Likewise, ye wives, be in subjection to your own husbands; that, if any obey not the word, they also may without the word be won by the conversation of the wives; While they behold your chaste conversation coupled with fear. Whose adorning let it not be that outward adorning of plaiting the hair, and of wearing of gold, or of putting on of apparel; But let it be the hidden man of the heart, in that which is not corruptible, even the ornament of a meek and quiet spirit, which is in the sight of God of great price. For after this manner in the old time the holy women also, who trusted in God, adorned themselves, being in subjection unto their own husbands: Even as Sara obeyed Abraham, calling him lord: whose daughters ye are, as long as ye do well, and are not afraid with any amazement. |

CookieLaVee: What part of submit don't you understand? Perhaps you think it means submit when you want and don't submit in instances when you don't want to. The Bible says submit and be in subjection to your husband in EVERYTHING. Ephesians 5:24 Therefore as the church is subject unto Christ, so let the wives be to their own husbands in EVERY THING. 1 Peter 3:1-6 Likewise, ye wives, be in subjection to your own husbands; |

asuustrike1: The problem with you people is that you always expect the Bible to spell everything out for you like ABC. If I ask you if pornography is sin, you will say yes. Okay, where is it written that watching pornography is sin? But the Bible says sexual immoralities are sin. Pornography falls under such. Now, you want to see where Sarah is called Sarah Abraham. You won't find, but I show you were Sarah called her husband Abraham Lord. The Bible even said we should imbibe such character as daughters of Sarah. If as a daughter of Sarah you can call your Husband Lord, I see No reason why you shouldn't be able to bear his surname alone. Adding your father's name means he isn't Lord over you because you can do whatever you like. This means you aren't a Christian cos you have shown that you aren't a daughter is Sarah who obeyed her husband Abraham. Abraham's blessings can never be yours. The below verse shows that the women of old obeyed, Sarah obeyed. Why don't you want to ? 1 Peter 3:5-6 5 For after this manner in the old time the holy women also, who trusted in God, adorned themselves, being in subjection unto their own husbands: 6 Even as Sara obeyed Abraham, calling him lord: whose daughters ye are, as long as ye do well, and are not afraid with any amazement. 1 Like |

alBHAGDADI:Very well, do well to change your wive's facial and physical appearance to yours so whenever anyone sees her, they will know that she submitted to her husband in EVERYTHING. She must submit to you in everything, looks and appearance included...Anything less than that is disobedience to the word of God and your curses will be second to none. alBHAGDADI:The three main categories of sin are the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life (1 John 2:16). Pornography definitely causes us to lust after flesh, and it is undeniably a lust of the eyes. Pornography definitely does not qualify as one of the things we are to think about, according to Philippians 4:8. Pornography is addictive (1 Corinthians 6:12; 2 Peter 2:19) and destructive (Proverbs 6:25-28; Ezekiel 20:30; Ephesians 4:19). Lusting after other people in our minds, which is the essence of pornography, is offensive to God (Matthew 5:28). When habitual devotion to pornography characterizes a person’s life and he/she continues in sin without seeking help, making no attempt to stop or feeling no desire to change his/her behavior, it demonstrates the person may not be saved (1 Corinthians 6:9-12). These verses and illustrations expansiate and explains why pornography is bad. The tradition of a wife taking her husband’s last name at marriage is not found in the Bible. In Bible times, most people did not even have last names. Women were often identified by where they lived (e.g., Mary Magdalene, Luke 8:2), by their children (e.g., Mary the mother of James and Joseph, Matthew 27:56), or by their husband (e.g., Mary the wife of Clopas, John 19:25). In Western culture, it has been a common tradition for a wife to change her last name to that of her husband. The vast majority of married women in the West still follow that tradition. There is nothing explicitly biblical about doing this, since the Bible issues no command to do so. Thus, there is nothing explicitly unbiblical about a wife keeping her maiden name or opting for a hyphenated hybrid. Some women who legally change their last names after marriage are simply following cultural conventions. Many others, however, are consciously choosing to illustrate a couple of biblical principles, namely, the headship of the man and the fact that marriage is the union of two people into “one flesh.” Jesus taught that, when a man and a woman are married, “they are no longer two, but one flesh” (Mark 10:. The husband, as the head of the home and the nurturer of his wife (Ephesians 5:23), shares his name with her, rather than vice versa. Other cultures may have different traditions regarding a woman changing or keeping her last name after marriage. Again, since the Bible does not specifically address the issue, the matter should be decided based on prayer, cultural considerations, and the wishes of the husband and the wife. In a nutshell, no scriptural bases for change of name as it is tradition of men not God 5 Likes |
