Can you imagine Tanzania being like Singapore? people are really dumb. These guys are not even good enough to teach in their top schools they have to hire Kenyans and Ugandans yet somebody is talking of Singapore.

Who would you root for the presidential sit coming 2022?

Ok, this conversation is getting political, but who do you think will take us to the next level? I'm not a Luhya but I'd go with Musalia Mudavadi. Economic-wise,he is cut from the same cloth as Kibaki. He is a briilliant economist who I think will bring the much needed reforms that this country needs. Who would you personally pick ?

Absolutely. You need 5 Matiangis/Michukis/Nyachaes/Rutos. Basically people with a commonsense approach to issues and who actually get stuff done. Otherwise majority of ministers think their jobs is to attend meetings, read a prepared speech and go back home. Others think their job is to churn out policy after policy after policy. What is lacking is implementation & the discipline to see through reforms.

I hope Matiangi after 1 more year in security - get shifted to Agriculture or Manufacturing. I think Macharia is also very good. But the two guys running food security & manufacturing have not yet owned the vision.

My preferable contestants are Mudavadi and Matiangi' being president and deputy respectively.
These two guys will put the country into right shape I bet but the current dp is a threat to other rivals and a planned political strategist who might clinch the top seat of the government come 2022 elections.

Your country's economic growth rate has been playing around 7% since time immemorial as purpoted by your economists and statisticians but there's absolutely nothing to be seen on the ground when it comes to development.
That's like planting a seed,it germinates and sprouts yet when reaching maturity stage it doesn't produce its seedlings.

The major reason of underdevelopment in resource rich nations is corruption. We are fortunate to have taken anti corruption stance in our resources.
Host government agreement didn't collapse.No invester will forsake Tanzania easily like that.Even a new Barrick gold MD have committed himself to resolve a tax dispute with our gov.
For Tz to reach its full potential, we just need anti corruption measures.. the rest will follow
