Oga Centino

I have followed your story since the first day you posted it, from the shadows and I must say I love your work. And today you inspired me when you admitted the fact that you as a writer have problems putting down a story.

I always thought it was just me. Today you changed someone's life. Thank you for being an inspiration. Am waiting for your update.

From a die hard fan.

I took his contact off FB, Though I wouldn't want to display same here. How do I get the number across to you?
On the flipside, you can get the phone number off the page as well.
Have you considered publishing your work? A number of online publishers abound that could give you the needed platform where your work would be purchased for a fee by avid readers.
Do consider.
Well-done.

Thanks bruv. Nice to hear from you at last.

Some have asked permission to post and the condition from me has always been to credit the author, which is pretty standard. This guy didn't https://www.facebook.com/Pheezie-Entertainment-Empire-288445608238711

But this one did https://naijaenjoy.com/2018/11/09/number-225-katakata-street-a...

The first guy must take it down or credit the author.

Dear Centino,
I have been hibernating on Nairaland for almost 10 years now.
A regular visitor though, but I hardly comment.
Reading your story has brought me out of my self induced hole.
I noticed some observations; your story is being plagiarized on a Facebook page and another site (https://www.facebook.com/Pheezie-Entertainment-Empire-288445608238711 and https://naijaenjoy.com/2018/11/09/number-225-katakata-street-a...).
Are you aware of these?
Quite a good story you have running, keep it up and I like your spicing the story with current happenings around, makes it an interesting read any day anytime. God work of fiction I must confess.
Cheers.
Whoa Whoa Whoa!
I'm the one posting the story on facebook and like i said if you're the one that called me yesterday night i'm not the writer & i was invited to read the story here.
It's my fault for nat asking for permission.
I hope it's not too late now.

OUR TURN TO SHINE

“He has no fear. Our presence will do nothing to him. But we will make the environment uncomfortable such that he cannot get up to harm you. We will do this every night for one week, after which he will give up trying to harm you at night because he will think it is impossible. In the daytime, just stay away from him. And if at any time he manages to get to you, that will be your luck. You are living on borrowed time as it is.”

“Okay.”

“You can come and use the front of my shop for your ogogoro business. I will need you there.”

“Ah, I have stopped that since I repented.”

“Everyone knows you did not repent. And Esther will tell them why she threw you out of her room. The best thing for you is to make good use of your remaining days. With the business, you can at least be able to fend for yourself and Akunna will not come and harm you in front of my shop.”

“You are so sure of my end. Is it Akunna that will kill me?”

“I don’t know. But I see a dead witch when I look at you.”

Akunna felt the presence in the room. The swiftness of the movements threw him off kilter. He was pinned before he could collect himself. His breathing became hard and labored. Perspiration soaked his pillow in seconds. “So you came with your friends Mama,” he said. He opened his mouth again but nothing came out this time. They moved in a strange formation and he experienced blackness around him that he had never known before. He was not afraid. Only that he was paralyzed. He expected to be free in minutes. So he waited. But minutes became hours and he lost track of time and drifted to oblivion and by the time he awoke, everyone had gone to work and children had gone to school and it was only the usual lot that lazed about the compound that he found. He did not find his mother. This went on for a week. His bed was his prison at night and his mother was as evasive as smoke in the daytime. So Akunna decided to let her be. Her sentence was already in her fugitive existence. He knew one thing, however. That she would make a mistake sooner rather than later.

“You want to go and learn how to take care of animals” Papa Efe repeated and stood up.

“Yes papa”

Papa Efe gathered his wrapper, tightened it around his waist, and took two steps past Irikefe who was breathing like someone who had just completed a 400 meters race. The old man shut the door, spun around and grabbed his son by the belt and planted knock after knock on his head.

Irikefe yelped and howled and struggled but his father was too strong for him.

“Papa what did I do? Papa! Papa! Wetin I do?”

Papa Efe left his son in a heap and then he took his seat on the bed and watched Irikefe checking his head for blood.

“You are a useless child. This na why I send you to Warri before. Because you no get sense.”

“But papa, I have a passion for animals.”

“Thunder fire your mouth dia! Passion for animals. Since when?”

“All my life papa. Only you never noticed.”

“Now listen to me. If I see you near that man pikin, that new gal, or the man himself…even to greet dem good morning. I go konk that devil wey dey push you comot for ya head and then send you go give my sister for Sapele forever. You hear me?”

“But Papa.”

“Papa what?”

Irikefe stood and continued to rub his head and then said “wetin come concern the man pikin inside this talk? It is not what you think Papa.”

“Dem no dey teach old gorilla the road for inside forest.”

“What do you mean Papa?”

“Na me born you. Na from dis my preek you come out. Do as I don tell you. I dey watch you. Any kpekem. Say bye bye to Lagos.”

Papa Efe then put his hand under the bed and pulled out his old travel bag. He rummaged through and brought out another neckwear with a different charm pendant. This one looked like a black palm kernel held by a thick black thread as well.

“Give me the other one,” he commanded. Irikefe removed the one he was wearing and handed it to his father. Paper Efe stood and collected it and put the new neckwear on him.

“Dem no born that animal well” He said. “Josiah go soon pack. Na you go take over the shop. By next month, I want to see new set of executive chair that you use your hand make. You hear me?”

“Yes Papa.”

“Now disappear from my front.”

Jonjo shook both their hands and tapped Ndifreke on the back. He no longer gave Maya a second look. He was now businesslike and professional.

“I’m signing you on guys like I have said. From today, you belong to me professionally. A few things to note. You must keep yourself like you are now and better for the next two years. If you are good and stay fit, I will extend your contract. You will earn enough to keep a nutritionist and a physical trainer. I’ll introduce you to a guy who will be taking you through the kind of exercises that will keep your body in proportion to the kind of styles you will be modeling. Even though I do mostly foreign outfits, I dress the quintessential African, and so you will need to keep your hips over forty inches Maya for example, and Ndi you have to bulk up some more. I will put you in a class for a month to hone your verbal and non-verbal communication skills and facial expressions, body language, posing and confidence training. For the moment, here is a voucher for one weekend getaway at Fourpoint by Sheraton Lekki. My representatives will meet you there on Monday morning before you check out to sign the contract and after that work begins. Once again, congratulations.” He shook hands with them again, turned, and walked away. They watched him leave in a waiting limousine.

An Uber took them to the hotel. In their luxury suite they found two boxes full of clothes, toiletries and everything they would need. There were clothes in the wardrobe too with a note pinned on the wardrobe saying everything belongs to Ndi and Maya.

“Tell me I’m dreaming Maya.”

“No you’re not Ndi. You are the most handsome man in the world. This is your reward.”

“Just like that?”

“Just like that.”

He looked around the luxurious environment. It was a junior level suite with a lounge and an amazing window view of the Atlantic Ocean. They had a bedroom with a double bed and a full bathroom. There were two flatscreen TVs with satellite channels, one in the lounge and one in the bedroom, coffee maker, safe, pillow menu, bathrobe, slippers and the lot.

Maya did not take her eyes off him as he tried to let it all sink in. He stopped at the window and turned and looked at his beautiful girlfriend who was also looking at him as if he just fell from the skies. Then he rushed to her and she jumped into his arms and they clung to each other kissing and giggling like a pair of lunatics.

“See what your jealousy brought us?”

“Woe unto he who says lovers should not be jealous,” and they continued to giggle.

“If this did not happen, maybe we would have broken up. Because you would have died seeing how other models and photographers and everyone interact. No one wants to know if you have a boyfriend or not.”

“Let them try it now and let me see.”

“It’s different now Ndi. We are elite models now. We only work for one client and our sessions will be specialized with minimal stress. If there are others around, they will always give way.”

“You’re beautiful Maya.”

“And you’re so handsome.”

They kissed again and Ndifreke scooped her and headed for the bedroom. They kept giggling and then she said, “Shouldn’t we eat first?”

“No we won’t. I want to make love to you in this glorious place first so that if it is a dream, we would have had the best experience of our lives before I wake up.”

“It’s not a dream honey; it’s our turn to shine.”

Chisco arrived from the market and hurried to the kitchen and made catfish pepper soup with ripe plantain and yam and scooped a big bowl full and took it upstairs for the nurse. She sat in her bed in the lotus position wearing a bum short and a sleeveless tummy length top and reading a medical journal. He knocked and she invited him and he placed the bowl on the table and opened it. Delicious steam rose from it and Nurse Jo closed her eyes and inhaled exaggeratedly and they both laughed.

“What have you done Chisco?”

“Nurse, I bring you the pepper soup I just cook. I know say you never eat and you no dey like to cook and I no want make you eat that oni rice food today.”

“Awww, you're so sweet Chisco.”

“Thanks nurse. Make I bring spoon for you.” And as swiftly as a robin he went over to her cupboard and selected a spoon and fork and handed to her. She straightened up and eyed him and chuckled before tasting the soup. She nodded her approval and as he turned to leave she asked him to wait.

“Watch me eat,” she said.

“Okay” he said and sat on the floor opposite her and kept giggling as she chewed a piece of hot yam or plantain and the open her mouth to let out steam.”

“Chisco. It is delicious but too hot.”

“E good to chop am as e hot.”

And she opened her mouth to say something again she held her throat and her eyes turned red. She made the gesture that she was choking and he rushed to her and picked her up like she was a plantain leave and looked into her dimming eyes. Then he remembered something from a movie he once watched of a choking scene where an old woman spun a choking man around and held him from behind and put her arm round him and scooped his stomach inward and upward until the piece of food dislodged. For the one month that followed Chisco and his siblings will put food in their mouths and perform the move and each time the piece of meat or fufu would fly out and they would clap for themselves. It was all he could think of then. So he spun the nurse around and did the same and after four scoops, the piece of plantain flew out of her mouth. She then coughed and then asked for water and he handed her a bottle he had kept close. Then she noticed he was standing uncomfortably and she looked and saw that he was trying to hide an erection. She burst out laughing and tears filled her eyes. Chisco turned to go.

“No Chisco. Wait.”

He stopped but did not turn around.

She stopped laughing seeing that he was embarrassed and moved closer to him. He moved forward and stood at the door and so there was no way the nurse could see his front side.

“Who taught you to do the abdominal thrust Chisco?”

“I see am for film. Me and my brother and sister dey use am play.”

“You have once again saved me Chisco, and once again you did something I never would have thought you knew how to do. I learnt that at the nursing school.”

“Na my faut nurse. I make you to dey talk when you dey eat.”

“It is not your fault Chisco. I choked. It happens.”

“Sorry nurse.”

“Why are you backing me Chisco?”

“Sorry nurse.”

“You don’t need to be embarrassed. I understand.”

“I go come take the plate later” he said and reached for the door handle.

With a practiced move Josephine stretched a hand beyond him and pushed the door and it jammed lock as he held the door handle. And as he stood confused and still unwilling to turn round, she got closer and hugged his back and put a hand in his shorts and found his stiffness. No wonder it stood like that. He wore a loose boxer’s trunk with nothing under and his arousal was so big it lifted the shorts and would not go down. She chuckled and squeezed. He moaned and she turned him around. He still would not look at her in the eyes but she kept her eyes on him and continued to knead his hardness.

“Do you like me Chisco?”

“Yes nurse, but you no be my size.”

“Who told you?”

She then pulled down his shorts and his hardness shot out and throbbed.

“You are an amazing man Chisco.”

“Thank you nurse.”

“For no reason, you save me and cook for me and do what no boyfriend has ever done. And when you had the chance you did not take advantage of me.”

“I like you nurse. I like you like my sister.”

“Then why are you hard now if you see me as a sister?”

“Na because I no wear pant.”

Josephine laughed and watched as he struggled to stifle his moans.

“Do you want me Chisco?”

“Yes nurse. But you go come dey do somehow if we do am. I want to continue to serve you like my sister.”

“What planet are you from Chisco?”

“I’m from Arochukwu.”

Nurse Josephine left him and took a step backward and removed her blouse and her bum short. Then for the first time, Chisco looked at her. A soft moan escaped his lips but he still could not decide if or how he should act.

“I am not your sister. I don’t have a boyfriend now and you are the nicest man I know. Have you been with a woman before?”

“Plenty times.”

“So that means you know what to do.”

“Yes nurse.”

“Now do to me as you do to all those village girls.”

Chisco then turned into a different animal. Seeing the new look in his eyes Josephine just stepped back and fell into the bed and watched Chisco tear his tshirt and throw his shorts to a corner of the room. He started by sucking her breasts and then kissing every part of her body. Then unexpectedly he buried his face between her thighs and mouthed her. He knew what to do and it pleased her. who would have thought that that also happened in Arochukwu? When he was ready to enter her he made her go on all fours and push her ass in the air exactly the way she was that night when he came in and saved her from Wasiu and Ibadan. He had never forgotten that scene. And he felt good that he was now recreating it honourably. He drove into her and felt himself ascending beyond the earth plane.

“Nurse…” He moaned.

“Chisco…Oh Chisco…”

TO BE CONTINUED.
