Real Madrid fans sent a message to Jose Mourinho during Saturday's defeat to Eibar - calling for him to "come back soon".

Sanitago Solari's first game in charge as permanent coach ended in embarrassment with the visitors thumped 3-0.

Thibaut Courtois, Gareth Bale, Sergio Ramos and Luka Modric all started the clash but failed to make an impact against the mid-table side.

Los Blancos now sit in sixth, six points behind La Liga leaders and rivals Barcelona.

Solari was brought in to replace Julen Lopetegui who was sacked in October after just four months in charge.

Real's new boss did lead his side to four straight victories while he was interim manager, but Saturday's defeat shows how far Los Blancos still need to go.

With that in mind, some of the Real fans that travelled to the Eibar game brought with them a banner directed at Mourinho.

Alongside the Portuguese's face, it read: "Come back soon."

A separate banner with Mourinho's name can also be spotted in the background of the image.

After Saturday's draw against Crystal Palace the Red Devils now sit in seventh, 14 points behind Premier League leaders Manchester City.

During his three seasons at the Santiago Bernabeu, Mourinho won one La Liga title and one Copa del Rey.

Florentino Perez is also a fan of the Portuguese with recent reports suggesting the Real chief could make a move for Mourinho.

Mourinho needs a sabbatical... He needs to rest to reinvent himself, or he will keep going down the drain... Nevertheless he's still a great job doing a terrible job at Man UTD... He needs to be relieved, with average clowns like young, fellaini, etc, leaving my club

Top 4 seems like an herculean task with almost halfway of the season gone, not to mention the hefty point deficit between league leaders city. It's high time he gets the plunger Nonsense!!!

Honestly brother, I fan any club he is coaching. To the extend whe he plays against my club I still support him to win. There is indeed something about him, truly the special one! A coach that has more fan base than some clubs

since this season i have only watched Manchester derby, not becos of winning but Jose isnt playing the united way.

He started the preseason with a baggage of complains and negativity so i just knew this season would be worse.

What happened to our United of fergie era where Fabio, rapheal, oshea, and Anderson can confidently play midfield with confidence and attack mentality that crushed Arsenal at emirates?

As a Man United fan, I have never for once blame Mourinho because he has proved beyond reason doubt dat he is a good coach, if Madrid want him back no problem if only we can get our hand on Zizu... Man United hasn't ready for real business in Playing of the game.

Ronaldo's exit is the least of Madrid problem.
The main problem is the first team especially Ramos, Marcelo, Varane and Bale.
Modric is already out so he's not play with zeal.
The return of Marcelo and Varane opened up the defence once again.
Did you watch Madrid when Reguilon was playing left back? Marcelo doesn't defend Ramos is not sure if he is a defender or striker Ronaldo and Zinedine saw it coming that's why they ran away in fact by this time last season Madrid had already given up on league title chase

Depends on style of football. It’s harder for Mourinho to keep up with manu’s style unless he has the right players by that I mean creative players and not rigid players like we have in manu now.

Zidane saw this coming and took off, wise, sharp guy.....they had better go and beg Ronaldo to come back, no one in that team has got the kind of fighting spirit he has. Yes, he could be termed 'selfish', but take it or leave it, Real Madrid lost its vibe when CR7 left.
