I don't think this truly have anything to do with Trump, there is nothing Trump can do, except maybe put heavy taxes on gas to make it better.

This is a pure testament to the Average American. They love big things! Big houses, big cars, big truck, etc....Those are their choices by default, they only stray away from these defaults if pressed economically.

Gas has been very cheap at the pump, hence they are going for the big truck, if you listen to the news; oil has been dirt-cheap for the past years. If tomorrow the price of gas goes up or the cost of oil goes up, the demands for trucks by Americans will node-dive and you will start hearing GM closing truck manufacturing plants to open new car manufacturing plants.

So, this is not really a trend, it is just a temporary feel-good response to the momentary economic realities.

of course you're right. The cars are not selling well. What they need is a new chairman and CEO to come in turn the fortunes of company around. Tesla model 3 is the best selling luxury car in America today and it's a sedan. That excuse that Americans don't want Sedan is just an excuse

Thatsone of the effect of the trade war Trump started with china .Apple self is struggling to make profit now, and it will cost at least 20% increase on all apple product if they decide to move back their production to the USA.

I totally agree with you. How the hell in world would they stop their signature model, the Impala? They should rather get rid of the Malibu. Instead of them to re-strategize by remodeling these cars to be able to effectively compete with Honda and Toyota. It's so sad that some fools in Nigeria support a U.S president that they barely know.

Shut your stinking mouth. Do you live in the US? Do you know how many people I know that now have jobs. 14,000 jobs is small to what is been created. The upcoming 5G network alone employs thousands of Nigerians here in the US.

Not true!

Consumer choice is moving away from 4 door sedans to trucks and SUVs. All car manufacturers are reducing sedan brands, none is cutting trucks or SUV. Even Toyota will stop producing Yaris and some sedans too!
