I have encountered some things that i can as well considered life threatening but let me narrate my ordeal while trying to safe a girl from a rapist.
This happened few years ago, during the early days of ex Lagos State governor, Fashola.

One Sunday evening I and my guy said we should visit a friend who has been the one coming to our side all the time, we said we should as well say hello to him since he has been complaining of not visiting him.
We highlighted from Danfo " Lagos public bus " and start trekking into his street. Getting to the street, we started hearing a girl crying for help.... help me help me they want to rape me. As we are walking the voice getting closer, help help they want to rape me.
My friend said we need to trace this voice and rescue this girl, i look at him and say abi police? My guy said and then? I said this is not our area and who knows maybe this is a set up. This girl voice keep coming until we reach a government primary school, part of the school fence is down " due to erosion " and we observe foot path in the bush.
We were waiting for the girl voice again so we can get exact place her voice is coming, then again her voice comes out and by then a woman passed us, heard her voice and say while going " Wetin you self find pass the school " " Maybe when they start killing people inside the school maybe government will come and do something about boys smoking indian hemp inside the school ". I told my guy, do you just hear the woman? he said and then immediately the girl voice comes again " Help me, they want to rape me, they are about tearing my cloth " Hearing this my guy jumped inside the bush and I followed him too. My guy started shouting office come here, officer come here, officer come here is the new music while am responding am following you sir.

On getting to the building, this rapist knowing fully rescuer are around, he started to press the girl throat so she won't be able to make voice again. We got to the building, we can't hear any sign again. Day is already getting dark, this should be around past 7 pm. The building is a story building we checked every classroom down stairs no body then we ran upstairs again nothing. My guy wanted to talk then i gave him signal to keep mute. We gently come down stairs again like America spy..lol.

We return down stair and i shout, if you guys think you can set up a police with a cry of a girl in need of help, then come out. I am a police officer and i am alone without a gun, come out and let see if i will not finish you all.... forming jagaban inside darkness. Luckily this girl struggle to make sound, this is not voice again, she just try to struggle herself then we got we the signal is from. Mehn police they try......Everywhere is dark, this building is a isolated uncompleted building inside the primary school. We trace the sound we couldn't find anything, my guy wanted to bring out is phone i declined as this can expose us. We found this guy pressing this girl throat not minding of suffocating the innocent girl.

Had a highway robbery experience once. It was somewhere around Edo State.
The driver of the vehicle jumped out and disappeared into the bush. The robbers were shooting like it was fireworks. We were alone and all other vehicles were turning back. See wahala.
The looks on the faces of other passengers made me more frightened.

All my Jack Bauer fantasies disappeared. A Christian woman was furiously speaking in tongues.

I've never felt so much fear in my life. Some police trucks eventually pulled up and probably saved the day.
When the yeye driver came back he said "una no know say na driver dem dey first kill?".

To slap that man still dey hungry me!

Yes I survived an autocrash some years back, my bestfriend lost his girlfriend on the spot, our car got stuck on the railings of a bridge and caught fire, a couple of Nigerians came to our rescue with extinguishers, we could have fallen into the lake or be consumed by the inferno, but I survived to tell the story. So much for youthful exuberance.

And I was moping about a car accident I had this past Sunday because of how much money I’d have to fork out. My brother and sister were in the car with me and no one got hurt and I need to be thankful for that. I’m so sorry to hear this
