are you saying NO BANK in Nigeria are healthy[/quote

The absolute truth is that Mohammed Buhari systematically and technically put Nigerian banks into political recession due to implementation of Treasuries single account.... Lot of government money was rapidly withdrawn from commercial banks.
Most of the banks that lend money to oil companies might never be able to recover such with the recent announcement by the government that oil mining licenses are not renewable. This meant banks will have gigantic toxic non performing loans in the coming years, should government implement the non renewable policy.
The monster of all the reasons is the monumental and pandemic corruption in the banking industry.
How can minority investors make money from dividends yield and shares appreciation in d banking industries ? When the CEOs prefer the mentality of winner takes all.
First bank that supposed to be one of the best in the world with potential to rival some regional banks in US was corruptly destroyed by bisi onasanya et al. The first bank we are seeing today is waiting for counterfeit bail out(government printing out counterfeit naira for a bail out)
Zenith bank.. Jim ovia is the undisputable Emperor... He owns almost 95% of Zenith bank buildings and branches nationwide and rent them out to the bank at his offering rate
Diamond.. A sad story for the Dozie et al
Sky bank... Unilateral destruction by the ayenis
FCMB... BANK OF THE LIVING DEAD.. Still breathing and working but potentially on 3rd of the 7th lifeline
Access bank... Greediness chewing and swallowing what you cannot bite
GTB... THE ONLY HOPE FOR MINORITY INVESTORS, PENSIONERS, FOREIGN INVESTORS AND DOMESTIC INVESTORS. MAY THE MANAGEMENT OF THIS WELL RUN BANK CONTINUES IN THE RIGHT TRAJECTORY, OTHERWISE IT WILL SPELL A DOOM FOR THE FINANCIAL INSTITUTIONS IN NIGERIA.

It is well my brother. Once the stocks you have are fundamentally sound, no need to worry, they will still bounce back some day.
You just needed lots of patience and don't be weighed down by the losses you are seeing now.
Be optimistic and try to make yourself happy. smiley

We are all learning here. You have a part of the blame too because you based some of your trading on 'hope' - hoping that the downward trend will reverse quickly despite some red flags.
Think you just have to learn from this and re-strategize.
Hold Agba by the trousers so he can teach you how to trade in NSE without sentiments. grin

Don't be cross with me dear, its just a piece of advice/encouragement considering the kind of investor he is - a big one.
It might not be easier for him to sell easily like small investor can do with tashere units. You have to put the loss into consideration too.
Whatever makes him to wait from N13 naira till the stock reaches N6 must have a reason best known to him.
Me I cant wait for a stock to shed consecutively for two days without jumping out - so you can see we are different and have individual strategies that works for us.

i hear you, you be jijoist confirmed. cool

At least, it is a gain and not a lost. Then there is need for rejoicing.

I could have jumped inside FCMB if the result was released during trading session. I am happy for those inside already, at least this will give succour to the house a bit.

i like quoting post. i will quote this post when the time come

fcmb FY might likely be bomb

fcmb have the 2nd highest net USD assets. GTB have the largest

i expect fx gain as other income when they move CBN rate from 331(NIFEX) to 360(i &E window rate)

But CP, on strength of this result alone, fidelity is still cheaper than fcmb. Eps for fidelity is .62 fcmb. 57. They are both cheaper than any other bank on NSE.
Congrats FCMB, nice result.
