cutieplum: The takeover rumour is not true. Access Bank only executed a trade (plenty financial technicalities - put/call option) on Diamond Bank shares in its custody. In layman terms, some big dog took a loan from Access Bank using his Diamond Bank shares as collateral. As a result of the plunging share price of Diamond Bank in the stock market, Access Bank enter market go find their money...Lol. 13 Likes |

cutieplum: You've liquidated already, so your question is coming a little late as you would have to re-invest in either DB or GT and also raise a CSE. [s]You were running from something and later entered the same thing[/s]. Goodluck BTW: Access Bank isn't buying over Diamond bank. 2 Likes |

cutieplum: Just thinking, does CIC really need to know each time you move your funds around? I thought the requirement is that you have the funds readily available when you submit your application and have them until you land in Canada. If they need to verify your funds at anytime they would issue an ADR. Where the funds are won’t matter as long as you have it readily available to you. My thoughts 17 Likes |

Landing gist! Family of 3 left Nigeria for Toronto on Monday via Ethiopian airlines. We took a total of 6 boxes, 2 hand luggages. Hubs did all the heavy lifting at the airport. The flight was uneventful (which is what we all hope for anyways ). We arrived Toronto by 7am. However there was a little queue at immigration. The immigration officers were not ready for work that Tuesday morning. They were just gisting and chilling. Seriously, we spent 2.5hrs on that queue (one lady even missed her connecting flight to Ottawa). One guy kept complaining and eventually asked one officer the cause of the delay. The officer replied "good question", and walked away . There was a lady just before me who spent 1hr with 2 officers. Seriously i became scared cause i kept wondering what was going on. Hubs kept reminding me that everyone's case is different. Eventually it got to our turn and it lasted for like 15mins. He didn't ask any serious question, just wanted to know the total value of cash we were carrying. The officer even expressed surprise when he heard we had been waiting for 2.5hrs. I just dey look am with one eye Eventually he said the magic words "you are now a permanent resident of Canada, welcome to Canada" We moved onto canada service for our SIN, and after collecting our baggage, hubs opened an account with CIBC at the airport. They gave both of us SIM cards with public mobile and $60 voucher each. We are currently at the BnB and its really nice. My daughter cried the first day from the cold, but she is adjusting well. We were able to get more warm clothing from shop. So far so good. Trying to find an apartment. All in all, enjoying Toronto. 115 Likes 5 Shares |

Sandydav:Pls friend I want to ask your opinion on this my own issue. I seem to be inconclusive about it. I worked with one of this Asian coys after my IT. I worked for 7 months, but I did not get an offer letter I was more of a casual worker though I worked over-full time(slaved) My old Nigerian boss still works there tho as a consultant now, He says he can request for a reference letter for me as per Immigration purposes. Can I count this as parr of my work experience Even rho casual? |

You don't need to wait 2 weeks. You only wait if its primary market you are investing in. Secondary market runs daily Temas: 1 Like |

Anyone pls, will ICES for HND give to or more certificate like WES? The truth is, I have conflicting other names in my waec n GCE . I was dumb then I didn't know it had implications. But I have a newspaper edit and aliso an avidavit stating both other names are my names, but I am still weary of using WES and want to be sure ICES who does not require waec will give me 2 or more certificates |

PinkStarsFallIn:The two certificates will be evaluated individually so you would have two ECAs which will in turn become 2 or more certificates. Caveat am assuming you have two certificates to evaluate cos ICES evaluates each certificate separate |

StKizito2:Of cos bro, I have those 2 certificates. Thanks for your response. I was already thinking how I was going to go about WES and trying to explain myself with both other names. Don't be offended bro. How does one send stuff to ICES for evaluation? And what other thing do you think they need apart from both transcripts. |
