Lagos could hit N400bn in IGR on 2018. It currently accounts for over 35% of IGR receipts by states in Nigeria. How is your state doing on the IGR board? Can Nigeria really grow without functional states with distributed wealth and tax receipts? #AskQuestions https://mobile.twitter.com/BudgITng/status/1068094421189705730 1 Like

They are supposed to have 50% ,because of deliberate concentration of,and monopoly of Federal Revenue agencies. Why will it be only in Lagos state that Nigerians will clear their containers? 31 Likes 3 Shares |

Lagos had been the commercial hub of Nigeria for over 20 years and will continue to hold a clear lead until there is a concrete plan by the FG to at least, create a fair playing ground for other regions; e.g wholeheartedly, test run other ports. Not to discredit the efforts of LASG to take full advantage of opportunities though 13 Likes |

It should be 90% considering how much those trailers and tankers pay on daily basis. Not to talk of the agbero and population of the state. The question should be, what have the states done with their IGR to better the life of its citizens. 7 Likes 2 Shares |

Ovamboland:Help me ask these ignorant people. Majority of what happens in Apapa are controlled by Federal government. The taxes are federal collected by FIRS. This add little to IGR. These kids needs to know that Apapa is even a disaster for Lagos. The customs, police and other government agencies at the ports are under federal government. The customs duties you pay to clear your goods goes to FG, not LASG. Atiku's Intel is working with NPA. NPA is an agency of Federal Government. Lagos makes no direct income from ports. It's federal government that makes the money and they share to all 36 states. Apapa port case should not be used VAT and company income taxes are collected by FIRS and not Lagos State. Oil company pays taxes to FG, while staff pay taxes to LASG. Lagos makes more money from P A Y É PIT Land Use Charge Hotel and consumption tax. Title documents registration/ perfection in Alausa Sale of land in Government Scheme. Physical Planning approval Surveyor General LASBCA Petrol station taxes Adverts Vehicle license Etc Idiots should stop talking about income from ports or oil revenue. Without federal allocation, Lagos is doing so well. Ask Tinubu How he did it from 2003 to 2007. It's the Governors of other states that are killing their citizens 58 Likes 7 Shares |

Lagos was once the nations capital, so it had the advantage of gaining in infrastructure development from the federal government. Let's not forget about the availability of seaport as well as a fully functional international airport. If other states had fully functional international airports and seaport do you think people will be bothering themselves coming to Lagos to do business? Let's not forget, with all that revenue, Lagos is yet to have uninterrupted power, don't have a proper waste management scheme, residents drill their boreholes as no waterboard management. Tell us again what's the usefulness of all that IGR Oh! I forgot, it's all for tinubu 7 Likes 2 Shares |
