Chairman please verify your claims before going public, I can authoritatively tell you that you need to pay $5 before utilizing the trolleys at LAX (los angeles airport) same applies at norfolk intl Airport in Virginia.

That is to ensure trolleys are returned or one forfeits the money for the workers/others. Big stores also use this method. Not bad!

Tbh paying 2500 for a trolley is not that expensive. But in all these other airports that you mentioned, people have the option of choosing whether to use a trolley or not, in Nigeria they just dump it on you. If they can ask people beforehand that would be nice because some people will say yes while others, no. You don't force things on anyone, but they won't ask, cos they want you to pay whatever amount they impose on you.

In lots of foreign airports, you pay for trolley.

Of all airports I have been to, it is so embarrassing, only Nigeria's airports (Muritala Muhammad Airport in particular) collect money for trolley from customers arriving/departing the country. The most unfortunate part is, those guys in charge sometimes pretend they do not have change so that you can forfeit your remaining money. If you tell them you don't have money, they will even ask you to bring foreign currency...

It is very disheartening because foreigners are been asked to pay before they can take/use too. Imagine, what they will be saying about our country when they get to their place?

We call on the Federal Government to kindly see to this.

Please, let's keep sharing this till it gets to those in charge. Enough of all these international embarrassments in our airport.

Maybe the airports you went to. There are international airports in other countries that require you to pay.

Experienced that madness last year at departure requesting N1,500 to trolley my luggage into the departure hall which is less that 2 minutes and no receipt as it is runs by the staff , I still used without paying a dime! I think it is a company, Skyblue Services that is running that service,

Had a case some years back, a policeman slapped my younger sister and i wanted to do, "I know my right" and sue the mofo.

Sir,,,, in Los Angeles airport if you are departing you pay $5 for a cart unless you take one already paid for by a user who no longer needs it. I don't know about arrivals but i believe same applies.

Sorry did you think they'll put your bag in the trolley for free? Those trolleys are owned by SAHCO that's how they earn revenue. They also ask if I need trolley, if I have to use it, I pay and push myself cos those guys will beg you if they push it for you.
