adeniyy01:LMAO @ Lawyer. You just did Christmas for her. She didnt write nor sent any shyte. Your money na sara. You have to stop the monthly contribution id you want to reapply soonest. No bulk deposit from your wife or anyone. Use a cover letter to explain the discrepancies in your salary and if your company gives you payslip, submit alongside your bank statement. |

Good evening house. Please I have a question to ask. My employment letter shows the name of my employer as JOY VENTURES LIMITED but below that they wrote PHARMACEUTICAL DIVISION on that same letter head used for my appointment letter, meaning am employed to work in their PHARMACY department where they sell pharmaceutical products. But recently my company changed their name in the bank and whenever we are paid our salary it usually shows JOY PHARMACY AND SUPER STORE LIMITED. Hope this won't affect my application? Please I want to know before my application is made. Thank you. |

Hello good people! It's my first time on the UK thread. I know next to nothing about UK travel procedures but I'm making enquiries on behalf of a big sister whose husband has been in the UK for a while and already has residence. My big sister is his Wife, she's gone to visit him severally with their daughter who was born in the UK. However, her application to join her husband was denied on some flimsy grounds and the "Lawyer" who has been in charge of the processing said they'd appeal This has been on for a while now but I've referred her here as I'm confident she'd get accurate guidance on this thread. Where should she start from? What does she need to do now? Thanks people! |

A: Mine was 1175GRP(without the kid's Budget) on the online application form, when I discovered it was high, I changed it to 715GBP with tipex and wrote with ink, and gave it to them to scan, ensure they scan it and writ it in the cover letter if there is any. Dear Justwise , I have patiently followed this page. This is my first comment on Nairaland. I need clarification. I and my wife and kids want to vacation in the UK During Easter. Our circumstances are as follows 1. I work in a financial institution with salary of 400k disposable after monthly espenses is 200k. Wifey is an officer in one of the Sec. Agencies with take hope of 150k. I have saved for 5 months. We have a side hustle for govt contracts. We did one arround August and just last week , we were paid over 20m. .after espenses what will remain is 4m. We intend using 1.5m for ticket for 6 of us. The question is this, should we transfer this 1.5m to wifys acct as she is the sole signatory to the acct. What do we term it. Profit sharing or vacation for family.. .we intend to use this for ticket while my salary acct cater for living expenses for the family |

justwise: Okay sir. But please do i need to get them any document from my office which shows how they changed their name or i can just explain that my company recently changed the company name and that is why the salary narration and the letter head paper to be used for Recommendation letter changes? Thanks. Please a brother in my church asked me today if he can apply for UK visit visa because he started his job 1 year ago so he is thinking 1 year is not good enough to apply but I told him I will help him ask here. |

justwise:OK sir, when I gave my brother a call ,he told me to fix 10pounds per day(extra expense) for the two weeks visits that's making 140pounds, adding up ticket fee I made a rough estimate of 450 pounds. Do you think its befitting, also I don't have his utility bills,I only have his house tenancy papers ,his private bank statements, his joint bank statement with his wife, work papers, passport. what's your say sir. |

justwise:OK sir, 10pounds per day, spending two weeks makes it 140 on miscellaneous. adding ticket fee,I made a rough estimate of 450pounds would that be okay?, I don't have his utility bills,I only have his bank statement, house tenancy ,works papers, invitation letter, passport copy |

Domistic: Don't move the money leave it where its and present the account, explain your contract business just as you did here and support it with paper evidence regarding the latest contract you did |
Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 3 by justwise(m): 7:25pm On Dec 02, 2018 |
Ojoaccess: You don't need to bring any paper from your office but it wouldn't hurt your application if you do. Your brother in church can apply if he earns enough to take a foreign trip. |
Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 3 by justwise(m): 7:31pm On Dec 02, 2018 |
Gideonaigbe: You don't have to do that, as its your brother will only be spending money for your ticket while accommodation will be provided by him. You don't really need his utility bills, tenancy agreement and other documents you listed are ok though his payslips will really help to support his source of income. |
Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 3 by blank(f): 7:43pm On Dec 02, 2018 |
justwise: I respect your opinion although I don't necessarily agree with it. How you determine how much you pay yourself is up to you. However it has to be reasonable. You can't have sales of 500k, cost (including operational costs of 300k and you want to pay yourself 200k. It's not reasonable. In presenting your finances to the VO, you should show your gross sales less your total cost. Then show the salary (which should be termed as owners draw). This should be shown consistently every month. Your net profit will be for the period from the first of the year to that month and for previous years as well to show a trend. You can google Entrepreneur salaries for a sector and country and you will come up with an average amount. You just need it to be reasonable. |

Good morng evryone @justwise and every other person who made a contribution..God bless u all..however,i wud like to revisit my issue again and seek clarifications before reapplying this week,i wish had found this thread before making the silly mistake of involving an agent to assist with my Visa application, which at the long run,he ruined my chances becos he cud not ask basic questions and went ahead to do what he felt was right.. First and foremost,d issue the eco raised was for no travelling itinerary, like places I'd like to visit, and activities I'd like to do during my 7days trip..which i wud input while reapplying,my first question is this do i have pay for a tour package or just state the places I'd like to visit daily? Also, there was a question asked for salary after tax, however the agent divided my annual gross pay which is #3,710,040.00 by 12 and came up with #309,170.00.However,that was a wrong input because my bank pays monthly salary every 12th #79,769.30 and 24th #47,968.45, which makes it a total of #127,738.05 monthly which is paid into my staff current a/c,however we get paid quarterly allowance at the end of every quarter(paid into staff savings account)and upfront(paid into staff current a/c),which is paid at the beginning of every quarter, which if added amounts to about 402k,asides leave allowance and 13th month salary...my question here is how do i explain that i made a mistake in my salary inputas my salary is about #262k after summing up my monthly salary+upfront+quarterly(after tax) I am planning to attach my payslip(for six months) for my net pay and gross pay..which was not included previously Also,as regards the inconsistent funds issue raised by the eco which seems like a money packing technique, most of the funds transferred to my staff current a/c where from my staff savings a/c....which where the two statement of a/c i presented, and my quarterly and upfront payment from the bank as well, however there was a transfer of 800k to my a/c from a junior colleagues frnd, who sold his car,as such amount wud be questioned if it enters his(my junior colleagues) a/c,so he asked his frnd to transfer to me,since d buyer wanted an a/c from my bank(since d buyer uses d same bank) and i transferred d money to the acct they wanted to send it too immediately, infact it was d same day..,since i am permitted to transfer high amounts outside my a/c to another banks a/c and d money left my acct sameday and this was in may..asides funds paid in by my some of my colleagues who patronise me for business,i sell hair and perfumes,as side hustle, but the payments where less than 50k and not up to 3 or 4times,other few transfers i did were low amounts from my diamond acct(from me to me) but the agent stated in my application that i had no other savings(does this mean i have no other a/c elsewhere) and i depend strictly on my salary because he wanted me to keep my application straight,my question here is do i go against what was inputted in my application?or explain that i do side business, although not registered, but d funds transferred to my a/c where more of cash deposit lodgement and few transfers which d highest amount was about 45k or even less.I had a closing balance of #1million100k plus in my current ac and about 200k plus in my staff savings a/c as at when i printed my statement,Do i use the same statement of a/c or print a fresh one? Do i also need to do a fresh hotel reservation and ticket booking,as my date of visit was lastweek,or i just use the same details to reapply, since it is not up to 28days that i got refused? Also,i feel the eco didnt judge me fairlly to have said he doesnt think i have enuf ties,as i have been working with the bank since since 2015 Documents i presented:introduction letter from HR(which showed my date of employment 2015),tax clearance, staff ID card, offer letter(from the old bank,as the name as currently changed of recent),offer letter from the new bank(pls note that this is still d same employer,we just transitioned to the new bank of recent),letter of admission into d banks training sch, confirmation letter, statement of of both my staff savings and current a/c,travel history(dubai) Also,he stated that i wud be spending 1650 pounds for my trip and i spend 200 pounds monthly, although no issue was raised as regards this by the eco, should i still cut down cost??or stick to this same amount?? Please revisit my issue and advise me accordingly..i wud be attaching d refusal note again..sorry for the long writeup..

bencowhite: You need to send your degree certificate, transcript and letter from your university to Naric UK to be evaluated, it will cost you about £152 including posting and it takes about a week. They will send you two letters of evaluation addressed to UKBA then add that to your documents to be sent to Sheffield. Just open an account with them online then upload those documents and make the payment |

Good afternoon house. I applied for a UK visitor visa...went for the appointment on 24th of October at Tlscontact Ikeja and got an email on the 31st of October stating that my application has been received by ukvi. Since then I've not heard any news. I've been tracking it through tlscontact website but there's no progress. My mum also applied around that time, went for her appointment 3days before mine and she got an email telling her to come pick up her passport 6 working days after. I don't understand why mine is taking so long. It's been like 28 working days now. I wanna ask if I should go to the VAC and check with them because before my mum received the email, my uncle who invited us received a call from them asking questions concerning my mum's application and he also told them that he invited me too. I'm confused on what to do. |

Hello House, I need an urgent advice. I have been studying in the Uk for almost a year now and was working to support myself (part time) through this period and in the process I exceeded my work term limit. Recently, I got a permanent job in the UK that are willing to sponsor my work visa (Tier 2). Would my exceeding Tier 4 visa affect my chances of getting Tier 2 visa and how do I remedy it? Thanks for your honest response. |
Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 3 by bencowhite: 2:48pm On Dec 03, 2018 |
justwise: My husband who is resident in the UK has done that and they have replied. The response was positive in our favour. The degree is confirmed equivalent to UK degree. With NARIC's response, we filed an appeal but up till now, we have not heard from them. Its been over a month now. We did the initial application that was refused ourselves but we are using a lawyer to file the appeal. Our last discussion with him last week was that he has not heard from them. What could be the problem and does it take this long for them to respond to an appeal? |

Good evening everyone. Thank you for this amazing platform. Quick question please... I submitted documents for my tourist visa application on Tuesday, 27th November but I erroneously booked a hotel with a non-refundable policy that takes effect by midnight today (14 days before arrival date). If I don’t cancel before midnight, they’ll charge full amount. 200k is a lot of money to risk so I’m wondering what can be done to salvage the situation. Should I go ahead and cancel the reservation, even though my visa is still being processed? If I make another reservation with a more flexible cancellation policy, do I contact the Visa office to let them know? If yes, how do I go about that? Thank you |
