Beauideal: 1. Horrible city to start a family with. A lot of drugs and native Canadians on drugs. 2. Only way to kill boredom is to be working or leave the town for Edmonton or Calgary on your off days. 1 Like 1 Share |

Lol, i dont know if I am .. I grew up in a home in an inter tribal home and dad would not let mum speak her language and he did not speak his as well, as kids it was just English .. so when I was offered the course in uni (because I really wanted to study le loi) I grabbed it with all I had .. so basically I can speak just English and French and un peu de deutsche .... jelmusboy:Hi, i suggest you take advantage of newcomers/career services in your city/province. There are tons of them these days and you may be able to get help tailored to your situation. There are lots of conflicting information on what recruiters look for so you may as well get help from experienced/professionals. 4 Likes |

Hi, You cannot send via courier (it wont get out of Canada as scanners will pick it and seize). You can get someone who is coming home to physically bring for you (someone from church brought mine).Nigerians are always willing to help with that and someone always comes home somehow within the month. If it doesn't come on time then PRTD will take u back home. Boogy: 1 Like |

My PR card took a long time to be processed and when it was ready I requested the person whose address I used to send via Courier and I received it without stress. Since you are still in CA call CIC and ask for the status of the card ie if processing has commenced. If processing has commenced, it would take about 2 weeks to get to you going by my experience. Most times the delay may come from your passport photo being ineligible but they would not notify you. You don't need the PRTD except you are returning to CA and do not have your card. Boogy: |

Please what is the fastest way get to Kitchener from Toronto's Pearson Airport. With the cold, I am not even considering the rail service and I am not sure a pre booked cab will want to be kept waiting when I cannot determine the exact time I would exit the airport. |

Thank you all for your respective useful contribution on this forum. I'm new here Please I need your advice on this: I'm a Nigerian. I have my Bsc in engineering. I have 3 years of work experience in construction and fabrication industry but have been laid off for one year and six months now as my job position became redundant . I have been doing Plumbing work since after my secondary school education and even now that I don't have a job. So I want to migrate to Canada through express entry as a plumber. My question is thus: how do I convince Canadian embassy that I'm a professional Plumber where as I don't have any certification or license to back it up as there is no really government agency that regulate artisans in Nigeria to issue license if one meet certain requirements. please my good people advice me on how to go about this. Thank you in anticipation for your prompt response |

Since you are an engineer with 3yrs plus experience... you can easily migrate under express entry program as a federal skilled worker using your degree provided you have MSC to buffer your CRS score. when you get to Canada and you still want to work as a plumber which i doubt, you can get certified there. SundayphilipNic:That would not fly. I believe there is a technical body that regulates artisans professionals in Nigeria. Google NABTEB or City and Guilds. 1 Like |

olajide21:Mushin... I wonder what it is like living there now. Lots of gangs back then. I clearly remember the Akala boys, oju irin boys, idi oro boys etc. They must all have been absorbed into various cult groups that are now tools in the hands of politicians. On their website, go to the tab at the top right of the page labelled 'Services', click on Help & Contact, then under that, you'll see 'Ethiopian Worldwide Contacts' Choose Nigeria and you'll see the account numbers and their email addresses. Ensure you use your booking reference in the narration as well as your name if the space permits more characters. They will send you your ticket shortly. If you don't get it within a few hours, send a mail to the second email (lossup...) with your details and your ticket will be issued immediately. MissEmmy: 12 Likes 12 Shares |
