princfred:Lol we both agreed that the church does help so why has ur govt refused to make it bigger. How has ur govt made Christ against drug abuse ministry bigger? What has govt done to better all the free schools oyedepo renovated in kwara? What has govt done to better the homes of elderly built by ibeoymie? What has govt done to expand rural rugged services by nccf volunteers etc? What has govt done to improve olukoyas research center in unilag? Only 0.001% of pastors own jets so that point is irrelevant. 3 Likes |

It's because we "militant atheists" have conscience unlike you "children of god". Unreasonable bunch that've neglected the greatest mandate they claim was given to them, instead they're accumulating wealth off the back of the poorest and uneducated people in society. Of course I will run for office but till then who are the people donating one billion naira church to winners and two billion to Rccg?! Are they not politicians?!?!? Your thread made no sense, and it's just a repetition of the tripe and garbage you've been fed. Who cares if YOU give them your money? You can give them your soul for all I care but don't come online to justify your madness. You can talk about it in your church meetings where you will be clapped and cheered for not here. Bye!!!!!! HigherEd:Wether the government contributes or not is not the issue if the Church has enough to even lend to government yet claim they dont have funds to run humanitarian structures on a subtantial level dont you think that is phony?.Apostles didnt wait for government to contribute before they shared to the poor and continued even when the government as persecuting them. Does the Church help to 1% of what they can if its their priority as even individuals like Tony Elumelu, Dangote otedola etc who dont collect tax sorry tithe help without mentioning government. Or is government contributing the condition Christ gave before Church dedicates mainly to humanitarianism? The percentage that own jets is not what i talked or asked about but the amount it took to buy and takes to maintain them as that matters especially while you claim the Church has no fund to do mega humanitarianism. Dont deflect. |
You are on point Mr OP. Who needs a factory when there is a big church to pray for God's favor? Who needs a good and standard hospital when a big church can perform miracles and heal and cure our sickness? And why should we build our country individually when we can build big church as our own mode of development. Big churches beautifies the environment of course. Who needs to open a big business when you can just open a big church and earn in several currencies? This atheist are too dumb to realize that our church is the business of our God and it yields its dividends. Who needs security when it is the sole responsibility of the government. We don't need to ensure our security but blame the government when the terrorists knocks on our doors? May God bless the big shops sorry churches of our pastors and make them flourish among the abject poverty of their sheep. And we shall by the grace of our God always contribute towards the good work of God even though all we can achieve is a mighty house in heaven. May these fooli*h atheist perish in the everlasting fire our father is providing for them. Amen. Hallelujah!!! [/quot Hallelujah my brother... Very soon another one will be commissioned in PH, and Paul Enenche will see that he is just a learner. Come and see the mighty work our Lord is doing with his servant David Ibiyeomie. I don't blame these pastors, I blame those who sheepishly follow and defend them as if their life depends on it. I love the sarcastic way u dropped ur points. 5 Likes |

HigherEd:/ Compare Nigeria (an impoverished nation by all indices) with developed nations and their attitudes towards churches (not religion). You will find the answers you seek. One would think Nigeria founded Christianity and Islam going by the way Nigerians have their miserable lives centered on both religion. I dare say that nobody makes use of his/her brain anymore. Every aspect of life must be based on Bible quotes. Yet evil thrives in that shithole. Nigerians are not religious. They are hypocritically religious. / 9 Likes 1 Share |

John 5,30>Today is Sunday of history & geography teaching & fashion sermons, stories upon stories that don't empower humans spiritually by comedy, story telling pastors&prophets for spiritually blind Bornagain followers & church goers?bornagains & church goers enjoy it & continue to shout go deeper, prophesy, pastor ride on & after all the razzmatazz, you still remain in evil family&occult wickedness & evil marine bondages&can't sleep at night& witches & wizards feast on them without mercy and evil neighbors and landlords and evil people can't fear you because you have no power& pastors &prophets &apostles to use bornagains& church goers to make merchandise of their bellies without giving them empowerment & liberation&most importantly give followers PEACE that ,Jesus Christ promised to give to those who come to him?Again see Jeremiah 5.21,22 Jeremiah 12 10 you must help yourself &Seek for unbelievable power and receive it, which is LIGHT,MANTLE & THE POWER THAT BE &this is available only if you believe there is >many just claim Bornagain without spiritual wisdom &spiritual eyes & unbelievable power & they hate change &new truth&revelation of real JESUSCHRIST even when they read that God will do a new thing in Bible but they still question the same God why he is doing a new Thing? What a disaster people of the world?BEHOLD kingdom of God of Jesus Christ is not for everyone, neither is heaven for everyone, devil has his own children always &devils children hate change, especially the ones masquerading as BORNAGAINS who hate truth&good change with passion& pretend, they are those we call human CHAMELEONS,we have spoken again & those who have ear let them hear &investigate from JESUS CHRIST if indeed they know JESUSCHRIST #who can battle with God of justice & the power that be?remember this is authority & truth&revelation& power that is unbelievable to humanbeigns so it's not compulsory that you must embrace&believe us but only time will tell who is telling the truth or not as this is not like conventional bornagain &bornagain in vogue #NO & NEVER, Our own is accept the truth or perish,we dont beg humans to accept our truth&revelation, its accept or perish be you whoever, hence almost everyone claims to be bornagain, the same way many people claimed to know GOD more than JESUSCHRIST when Christ came before and dont forget the fact that Power talks and not empty critics and we authorize humans to investigate our unbelievable truth and revelation as the confidence of a wise person is look before you leap Mathew 13,13-15 |

You need to visit foreign embassies in Nigeria to have an idea of how bad the economy is and how desperately people are leaving the country. Instead of building mega churches, why don't the men of God building industries to absorb the youths leaving the country in thousands everyday? Ask Libya returnees what they saw while in Libya. Organ harvesting, forced prostitution and forced labour are the lots of our people out there. The religious community can support the government in creating a better Nigeria by providing decent lives for the people. 2 Likes |

Christianity is based on love. When love is left out, it weakens a church and makes it a ridicule. Solomon built a magnificent temple and used many Israelites as laborers. Now, how do we know if what he did was positive or not? When his son, Rehoboam, took over, the people begged him to save them from the yoke his father placed on the nation. That people don't speak now doesn't mean they're happy. They do so because of fear or the charisma of the leader at the time. God often doesn't thunder from heaven to stop us from overspending. But he uses the counsel of concerned people to warn us of excesses. There's nothing wrong in building, but the motive behind it matters. My prayer is that God will give us more of his love. If love prevails, I believe building halls or domes will be the least of the worries of God's people. This is the new testament time. 1 Like |

God does not dwell in temples built with human hands. God lives in the believers “For as I passed by, and beheld your devotions, I found an altar with this inscription, TO THE UNKNOWN GOD. Whom therefore ye ignorantly worship, him declare I unto you. God that made the world and all things therein, seeing that he is Lord of heaven and earth, dwelleth not in temples made with hands; Neither is worshipped with men's hands, as though he needed any thing, seeing he giveth to all life, and breath, and all things;” Acts 17:23-25 KJV 3 Likes |

HigherEd: Which god is this one referring to ? Church buildings are vestiges of a bygone era. How many big church buildings are being built in Europe , in Rome, in Israel ? In Europe, church buildings are being converted to museums, libraries, daycare centers and hospices. This, more than anything else, is proof that majority of humankind has moved on from primitive superstitions of the stone age eras. 7 Likes |

spongeisback: Bro, your lamentation should go directly to our government. Since the members of the church are not complaining, it should not be your headache. It's their money and they're at liberty to use it whichever way they want. Telling them what they should have used the money for is like dictating to someone on how to use his/her money. 2 Likes |
1) Why Was God Happy About The Construction Of Solomon's Temple? 2) Did Poor People Matter To God During Solomon's Era Or Was God Merely Concerned About Temples? 3) Where There Poor People In Isreal When Solomon Built The Temple? 4) Why Didn't God Complain When Taxes Collected MANDATORILY From The Rich And Poor Was Used In Constructing The Temple Which Would Cost Billions Of Naira In Today's Economy? 5) Why Did God Not Tell Solomon To Use The Temple's Budget To Feed The Poor? 6) If God Despite The Existence Of Poor People Felt Honored And Excited About The Temple Built In His Honor, How Are You Sure He Isn't Happy About The Cathedrals Also Being Built In His Honour Today? 7) Where The Worshippers In The Solomon's Temple Perfect People? HigherEd:so all Dem big pastors are copying Solomon isn't it. Welll wat you fail to understand is the system is rotten and doesn't in anyway conform with Godly principles. Today Churches are ran on business/investment model. The megastructures are only necessary if 15% of it occupants acknowledge the true essence of being Christlike. Lastly church doesn't take anyone to heaven. It doesn't. 2 Likes |

Unfortunately, the only two things that we Africans do better than our colonial masters are corruption and religion.. remember, em white slave masters used the Bible to justify slavery. So, continue and be using the Bible to justify poverty 4 Likes |
