To avoid this confusion, just go to the hospital. You have an infection obviously but go to the hospital so you can get sensible treatment...Don't scratch it so you don't spread it. When you go to the hospital, the doctor will direct you on the necessary test to run and treat you accordingly or you may not even need any test if your history is well taken and understood especially as you revealed you had a hair cut recently... Good luck...

Razor bumps caused by ingrown hair. Use Bump Stopper, the ones in the tall, slim, shiny dark blue bottles.. not the cream.

Also, Neo medrol and/or those Cortisone formulations.

Before and after barbing, grind 4 aspirin tablets in 2 tablespoons of water, make a whitish liquid from it and rub at the spot the razor bumps usually grow. Leave until dry before barbing. Apply again after barbing.

I think it razor bumps. The bacteria is opportunistic, caused by you scratching and breaking the skin that's why probably bacteria infection came. I don't even think there is that bacteria infection

The picture you posted up is keliod scars not any staph.

For the OP, pending when there is a sample taken and lab test, you cannot say for sure what it is.
Though no matter what it is, if not handled (not just treated) properly, it could lead to keloid scars, which is the body overproducing on that area to cover the wound.

Added to what others have said, change your pillow and pillow case.

Just apply Epiderm cream on that stuff and it will disappear like PDP. I am a sufferer of that rabbish and I can tell you Epiderm works like magic. It is just 300

You go and see a doctor immediately for a test, that looks like you have developed (shingles)

@Op stop carving the back of your head you barb in case of next time.

Always tell the barber not carve that area let him just brush and barb it normal.

My advice allow your hair to grow more it will resolve itself by the hairs that'll grow on those areas no need for any drugs.
