I will like to see Jones stay fit for a long time so we can assess him. Also may be Bailly or Rojo. We have seen the best of Smalling and Lindelof, we should be able to compare at the end of the season to know our best two centre defenders.

Last season, Eric and Jones started the season well, kept clean sheets and we were even at the top of the log in the very beginning weeks. If my memory serves me right. May be none of them being fit/in form at the beginning was bad for our team. The time of Luiz Van Gaal, there was a time we went through series of difficult fixtures with Jones and Rojo with ease, and another point Jones and Smalling.

I particularly think we should keep faith with Eric Bailly because when he gains form he plays with so much confidence and inspire confidence from behind. He currently struggle with form and poor positioning problem, but I think he should continue playing to regain his form.

Even Mata knows it's matter right now - to quench the Fire on the Mountain before it consumes everything around.

Mourinho's style of play will only work with very experienced set of players. His defenders should be saome of the best in the world individually like he had in Terry, Cole, etc. His midfielders difficult to beat, tough and experienced, like Makalele, Essien, Ballack, etc. Unfortunately, United current players are not like that and it will take him many more transfer windows to assemble such a team similar to what he had in Chelsea or Inter Milan.
