Guys is it just me or something else entirely
Axamasard has not been crediting interest for the past three days now. I sent them a mail but they are yet to fix it

Also I noticed Friday's interest is usually not added until late on Monday along side the weekend interest which is usually lower than expected. I still maintain that stanbic is better
My yesterday interest is still being awaited.

Hello all, pls I'm new to mmf investment. I have done my research, however I need clarifications on some issues. First, I want to know the daily interest rate of SIBTC MMF, though I know it fluctuates, but based on todays interest rate, i will like to know how much interest Id gain on a 500k investment for a 3/6/9/12month period? Thanks in advance smiley

Rate fluctuate hence the interest can't be fixed, using 12%as benchmark u could earn 1% per month, after three month(1st quarter) capital +interest(3months) will form the capital for the next quarter

I have been following this thread for sometime now
please just want a wise advise between stanbic and axa mansard from what I have been reading for the past one week
which is better and also is the MMF better than a target savings account with one of these commercial banks?

naijaobi:
Only those who actually pay close attention to details will realize that Stanbic is head above all these other guys.
But those who only look at the surface of the water will not see this. grin wink

To my best understanding you can't redeem all. Atleast 5k must be left in the account.

hello,
I concurrently have all my investment in Stanbic Money market fund, but I want to move some them to Equity fund for better interest rate cause I am of the opinion that Equity should give more interest, is this true??

And I would really appreciate anyone who has invested in this fund before to give me insight on the average daily interest.

Thanks

If you don't have stong heart stay away from equity or anything related to equity you can get your fingers burnt. I advice you stay with the MMF. when the coast is clear you can do equity directly on the floor of the exchange or invest in equity related fund. it's my opinion/advice.

I have written on this platform about strategic financial solutions(SFS) who runs an account called the Fixed income fund(FIF) and their interest is quite good and they also guaranteed that you will not receive interest below 12%. I have tried them and have a first hand information that it is very true. See below outcome on the below sum

Days" Gain Yield
14 11 2018 20,000.00 1 7.00 12.78%
15 11 2018 20,000.00 1 7.01 12.79%
16 11 2018 20,000.00 1 7.35 13.41%
17 11 2018 20,000.00 1 7.46 13.61%
18 11 2018 20,000.00 1 7.46 13.61%
Grand Total: 1 36.28

Please enlighten me more, I want to invest 50k as well.

Hi bro, good morning. When is the weekend interest updated? Or no interest over a weekend... Thanks

stop worrying about daily updates... You are just wasting their bandwidth and your data logging on daily..

YOU CAN worry when you dont see updates after 2 weeks or a month.

my stanbic account is updated every 7 days mostly... Sometimes they update Fridays and mondays...

it makes no difference because at the end of the month everything is recalculated and "regularized".
