I’m worried about traffic and its implication being lateness to work which is a no/no on this job.

I need a decent mini flat, somewhere a bit serene on the mainland where I can easily drive to or from the Island in 40 minutes, maximum.

I will appreciate advice on location to rent a place.

Costain is the best area for you.
You wont have too much traffic to deal with.

Shomolu / Fola agoro / Sabo /Alagomeji isn't bad too these ones are more upscale and safer.
The ones previously mentioned are major bus stops, very busy at rush hour, notorious, close to big markets but cheaper rent
