Yes, it was.
Winning away under hostile traveling and welfare conditions (as common with many NPFL sides) no be beans.

I think, you misunderstand.

You know Mbappe because one coach gave him a chance and he took it.

Another coach could have left him in the youth teams for an extra year or two.
The chance was given at Monaco sir where he made a name for himself and got invited to the French team. Psg na consolidation. I see Chriskels has already pointed this out and you have indicated Monaco. You have valid points that mbappe didn't have a coach like Mourino otherwise na martial part 2 e for be.

Sometimes you create your chances from top class performances. When you are in the youth team and you are scoring goals for fun. You can not be ignored, you will be promoted.

Then when you get your opportunities you STAND OUT. The rest then becomes history.

Dapo Mebude is 17 years old, in a U23 game at half time he replaced Sadiq Umar and went on to score a hat-trick. Now he is knocking very loudly on the first team door of Rangers.

When Rooney was 16 he was so good he was elevated to the first team to train. I remember Yobo telling me very distinctly that there wwaa one small boy that was on Fire. The rest is history.

‘We remain hosts of 2021 Nations Cup’ - Ivory Coast

By Oluwashina Okeleji

Football Writer, France

From the section African

The Ivorian Football Federation (FIF) insists neither they nor the Ivorian government have been informed by the Confederation of African Football (Caf) of a possible shift in their hosting of the Africa Cup of Nations in 2021.

The Ivorian Federation reacted to an interview Caf president Ahmad gave to Afrique Media TV on Monday when Ahmad said that Cameroon - stripped of the 2019 hosting rights - would replace Ivory Coast as hosts in 2021 and the latter would instead stage the 2023 tournament.

"We made this decision to shift, because we saw that Ivory Coast also is not ready for 2021. To do things in a more humane way, in 2021, the Cameroonians will be ready.

"And in 2023, we will organise the tournament in Ivory Coast. This is the decision taken by the Caf Executive Committee on November 30, 2018 in Accra," Ahmad said.

A letter from Ahmad to the Cameroon President Paul Biya dated 30 November 2018, seen by BBC Sport, has also surfaced in Cameroon where Ahmad has invited Cameroon to host the 2021 Nations Cup.

However, FIF revealed in a statement on Tuesday, that it has written to Caf to remind the body of the decision it took in 2014, and said the "Federation deplores this way of proceeding."

"It is reported that the Ivorian state authorities and the leaders of the Ivorian Football Federation have been approached by the Confederation of African Football (Caf) and that they would have been consulted on the recent decision taken by the Executive Committee of the said Confederation regarding the organisation of CAN 2021 which has been designated to the Ivory Coast, by the unanimous members of the Caf Executive Committee meeting in Addis Ababa in September 2014, following a successful bid," the Ivorian Federation stated. 

"The Ivorian Football Federation wishes to formally deny this allegation. No Ivorian state authority, nor any leader of the Federation, at any level whatsoever, has been contacted or approached by the African Football Confederation before taking this decision.

"In addition, President Augustin Sidy Diallo was in Accra to attend the final of the CAN Women and at no time was he informed by any leader of the African Football Confederation with regards to anything relating to this subject."

Caf, which is still looking for a new host for the 2019 Nations Cup, has not made any official statement on the reported swap and some top officials told the BBC that only president Ahmad or the general-secretary Amr Fahmy can confirm this latest development.

Guinea, who were given hosting rights for 2023, would also be affected by this shift. Guinea, which has never hosted the competition, promised to use Conakry, Kankan, Labe and Nzerekore as venues.

Back in October, Ivory Coast Prime Minister Amadou Gon Coulibaly had laid the foundation stone of a brand new football stadium in Yamoussoukro as work commenced in preparation for the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations.

Hundreds of people were present at the site for the 20,000-capacity stadium in the political capital, which is expected to be one of six venues for the tournament.

Coulibaly promised a budget of 300 million euros ($345 million) investment in infrastructure in preparation of the country's first hosting of the event since 1984.

Work on a separate 60,000-capacity stadium in Abidjan began in 2016, while other new grounds are scheduled at San Pedro and Korhogo, and the renovation of a major stadium at Bouake (40,000) is also on the agenda.

Football is not about what you did 1 year ago, it is present. Chukwueze can bench Dị Maria and Draxler

You are wrong.

Football is about consistent continous top class outstanding performances. It's about improving what you do each season. Because if you are not improving you are regressing.

Chukwueze has just played a handful of games he hasn't played one full season yet. Without doubt he has shown promise and potential but that's all.

How many players have been one or even two seasons wonders. Then we hear nothing again.

Unfortunately we have such a scarcity of top talent that any one shows some promise we BLOW IT UP.

Let's not get too excited but have a balanced view. He is playing for Villarreal not Barca or Real.

Solanke was scoring goals for fun at youth level and has done zilch at senior level. What about Akpom? Arturo Lupoli? Scoring at youth level does not mean you will be given a chance at senior level.

For every wayne Rooney, there are maybe 10 other talented youngsters that were wasted at youth level and are now play non-league football.

Gor Mahia are the biggest team in Kenya no doubt but this Lobi squad is also very good. I think they would have won by way more if they did not have to play the game in Enugu at the last moment.

Knocking loudly on the first team door is not entering. Mebude will still need support and favor to excel.

Remember Federico "Kiko" Macheda of Manchester United. Promising youngster, signed with all the hype and promise. At 16, he walked straight into the Manchester United U18 side. His debut, he scored. Finished the season as the U18 top scorer.

With a run with the reserves of Manchester United, Macheda did not fail to shine. With eight goals in eight games including a Hattrick against Newcastle which earned him a call-up to the senior side. The young man came in as a sub and scored a brilliant winner against Aston Villa. He was the Academy player of the year that season but due to lack of trust, belief and regular playing time, Macheda slid into oblivion. So managers showing faith and guidance play a big role in that.

Javier Portillo was a rising star in Real Madrid academy,in seven seasons he was a prolific, scoring 150 goals and broke a record held by Raul. At 20 signed a long term contract with Real Madrid, however, due to the fierce competition in Real Madrid with an array of super hit men including the legendary Raul and Ronaldo De Lima, the brilliant young striker slid into oblivion due to lack of belief and game time. So outstanding academy performances is not a guarantee.

Chukwueze has done well for himself so far but I believe the young man knows he is in a very competitive business. I hope and expect him to stay level headed, aim very high and work hard to achieve it. I am excited with what he has done so far and expecting him to keep marching on. By the way, Villareal is a good side for quality talents to find their feet. From Giuseppe Rossi, Diego Forlan, Carzola, Riquelme and recently, Rodri, Vietto and Dennis Suarez. The young man is in good hands.
